Poll: Long, Short or Medium?

Medium range. Long range weapons tend to have small clips, long reloading times or poor rate of fire. Assault rifles ftw, as in the FPSs I play, a bullet, at most two is what it takes from an assault rifle to kill an enemy.

Short range... there is a reason why modern-day armies don't use shotguns outside of room-to-room combat and pistols are just plain sucky both in games and in real life (in full on combat-zone situations).

Melee... Well, the saying 'full of holes like a swiss cheese' comes to mind when I'm thinking of people using melee-weapons. There is a reason why only total newbies and noobs get knifed in games. Naturally this doesn't apply to Master Chief, because he's such a pussy that he hides behind a regenerative energy shield.

Sadly I am sometimes one of those newbies on the recieving end of the knife stab haha.
OT: I like using mid-ranged.... if you are careful you can even overlap into a long range or short range role somewhat.

Short range. I'm no good at keeping myself alive, so I just try to get as many kills as quickly as possible.

I used to have a habit of sniping with assault rifles in most bland FPSes that worked astonishingly well.

Now I'm a career Pyro in TF2. Burn, blast, axe, baby!

Short range, I dominate on shipment. Only on cod4 though, because it's all about reflexes. For battlefield bad company I snipe, because outsniping the other team is fun.

I like stick nades. So i just put medium range.

I am the sniper with a pistol. You fear me at long range and short. You can not beat me. I see you everywhere.

I tend to sway towards the sniper side of things in most fps'. In tf2 though which is anything but an ordinary fps I usually go Spy or Demo

I usually like the short range just because I love using any kind of shotgun in a game. xD Though, medium range are also nice.

To be honest, I usually suck with long range and most melee weapons. Unless the game is formatted to be melee, then it works better for me.
