Ok, if you woke up one morning and suddenly one of your senses was gone, which would you pick?

I would lose my sense of touch, seems like it would be the least one to drastically alter me, although, some experiences in life will be rather lackluster.

Taste. Then, I could eat very healthy without tasting the more disgusting of the healthy foods.

Smell. I figure the majority of things I smell are bad smells anyway, and it's overall a mostly useless sense.

Except for detecting gas leaks or fires, I suppose.

lack of a sense of touch would entail not being able to feel when you have cut or injured yourself you would basically have leprosy without being contagious.

Anyway i said taste because most of what you taste actually comes from the smell of food so in a way i could still taste.

I would pick touch here are my reasons for not picking the others;

Sight: I love art and I love photography, I love seeing the sight of the world.

Sound: In a world where I would never be able to hear the sound of music again, would be bleak and dark for me.

Smell: Never again would I be able to smell my mom fabulous turkey dinner or delicious cake! NEVER!

Taste: See smell, and change smell to taste.

Smell would be horrible to lose because of the aromatic delicacy that is Coffee. But that's about it.

Losing my sense of smell would not impair me that much. This actually runs in my family, our olfactory bulbs burn out, so I could be facing this at some point.

I picked smell, because I heard that apples and onions actually taste exactly the same, but the only reason we think there is a difference is because of the smell.

Its a toss up between taste and smell. Loosing taste would mean i could eat healthy things for once, while loosing sense of smell wouldn't be a massive thing seeing as I have a cold most of the time anyway

Assuming it didnt interfere with your other senses not having this one, then smell. But I'm pretty sure that losing smell screws up your sense of taste. Wouldnt want to lose sight or hearing, that would be horrible. And as for my sense of touch, I have many plans for that in the years to come...

Taste, mainly because I could eat gross things without throwing up from the taste...maybe from the actual food but not the taste.
