I've had some dreams where I know I've been dreaming. but by far the oddest thing which has happened. is that a dreams ended and I've gone to open my eyes but can't and I realised I had some form of full conciousness in my brain but my body was still really asleep. I couldn't move any part of my body, so I like tried to move any muscles I could and started to wiggle my toes (at the time I thought I was paralysed) and I gradually got my body awake.

I occasionally have lucid dreams, usually in the morning at that point when you're not fully asleep, but not really awake. I'm now tyring to be proactive with lucid dreaming with help from the following:

I don't know if this counts, but when I was young I had nightmares frequently. Occasionally they would get quite bad. I remember 3 times where I knew I was in a nightmare but not in a dream (dream logic), and the best I can describe it is I used every fiber of my being to stop it. The dream went on, then it went black for a few seconds, pick up, black again, continue, then I would wake up. That's the closest I've come to it.

Nope...never happened to me. I'd love to but no, my mind has to go do it's own thing and screw it up for everyone...way to go dreams. :p

Sometimes my dreams are lucid, sometimes they are peaceful and relaxing and sometimes I can't remember them when I wake up in the morning.

However, most of the time (about %80 of the time) I have nightmares. I have no idea why.

I used to have this and I can tell you it is worse than a nightmare. Basically, my brain would wake up before my body, occassionally I was still in the dream, sometimes I was just awake. Thing is, I couldn't move. I also couldn't breathe. It would feel like such
a long time when it would only be about 30 seconds to a minute. In my mind I would call out for help. I could feel siliava running down the back of my throat. Finally the adrenaline would kick in after I panic and I would jump
Up gasping for air.

It's not exactly lucid dreaming. I would get it from between 2-3 nights a week and once a month. Thankfully I don't suffer from it anymore.

One other thing, in lucid dreaming you have some influence in your dream but not complete. At least that's how lucid dreaming has worked for me.

Never happened to me before, but I was aware of the concept and it sounds cool. Sadly I generally sleep much too deep to be consciously aware of absolutely anything.

I've experienced them but was to scared to exert an excessive amount of control over them. I would love to do it more but it only happens during my most severe nightmares, and unfortunately whenever i give myself an edge i also give the thing in my nightmare an even greater edge which just makes everything scarier.

i've had dreams that somehow seemed to blend into reality so much that i couldn't distinguish one from another, but i've never had a dream where i knew i was sleeping.
