I say I've had lucid nightmares. Very disturbing.
I think its called sleaping paralysis, had it a fev times.
I thought sleep paralysis was when you wake up and can't move.

It's strange, I saw this same thread on ponychan a few days ago. Difference was there about 60% of the people said no, and here 90% say yes. Very interesting.

I've managed to do it once, and I'm trying to master the technique again.
For the record, that one dream involved me flying in and over the treetops of a pine forest with Morgan Freeman. The setting and companion, scenic and welcome though they may have been, were incidental; the only thing I controlled was the flight.

But yeah, my slumber had better involve naked-lady aeronautics soon.

Yes, I have them with some regularity. Usually my dreams become lucid when I'm having a bad dream, such as a zombie apocalypse dream.
I realise "wait, this is highly improbable. I must be dreaming." Then I develop some awesome power and blow the zombies up. Its very fun :)

I've had sleep paralysis, this was entirely different.

I was dreaming and I knew I was dreaming, but I was unable to wake. I actually remember yelling at myself to wake up while I was dreaming.

Sleep paralysis is when you wake, and are aware of it, yet you find yourself unable to move.

No, though I am actively trying to have a lucid dream, and hell, I may have had one already. But I don't have one I remember at least. D:

I often come to the conclusion that I am dreaming, which yanks me right out of it. But until I realise I am dreaming, I am able to control what is happening to some extend.. is that weird? :p

I did have one. I set myself romping through rapture, against all those freakys, shooting lightning and fire. I was gunning through that section where you meet the weird artist guy (I forget names =/) was very fun.

After that I went for a spot of flying. Was the most awesome dream ever. Never had another though, but have wanted one ever since.

I have had several of these lucid dreams. One notably is a time when I was aware I was dreaming, tried to bend reality by flying, then falling flat on my face. I swear my brain has quite a disliking to living in my cranium...

Although I don't often get a lucid dream it is very awesome when I do. Especially since I tend to realize I'm dreaming given a scary situation. That being said I rarely ever have nightmares and most of those end up with me tackling the fear with heavy weaponry, or time powers. Or the ability to change the course of a disaster, you know whatever is necessary. I rarely get the chance to lucid dream without being in a nightmare, those dreams tend to be me just hovering around in school hallways. Or playing advanced video games, I still remember getting lag while playing a mash up of C.O.D and Halo but in a virtual reality setting. (I blame the COD part)

My friend and I were having a discussion today after watching part of Inception and came to this question:
Have you ever had a lucid dream*? and if so what did you do?

*For those who don't know, a lucid dream is one in which you realize you are dreaming and are thus able to control the dream.
I kill dinosaurs in my dreams.

I also have lucid dreams. They happen with regularity. But it usually involves deliberately sleeping in for me. I also find it helps if you wake up just a little bit to move position, then fall right back to sleep.
This exactly. If the ladies at school only knew... ohhh chunky.

I'm not sure I've ever had one.

It seems like it would ruin reality even more for me, though.

I have lucid dreams about whenever I want, and I tend to do what I want when in them. It is beyond cool.
