Rather depends on what your criteria are.

Lying about being a millionaire astronaut? Fine.
Yes, it is I, Lorenzo Von Matterhorn!

In other thoughts, I'm kinda against the idea of lying to get laid. It seems morally unjust to me, all things considered.

Lying is wrong, especially when you're trying to cheat your way into something, it just shouldn't be done. However, if you're so pathetic as to have to lie in the first place then you may as well, I have nothing to say that you won't already think of yourself.

My opinion isn't even in the poll. I think it's fine as long as it's not about disease. If you tell someone you don't have a GF and actually do, you'd better be able to live with it.

Depends what type of lie your telling.

If you actually making shit up to impress your 'target' that you want them to believe, then it's just so fake a shitty on your part.

if you using white lies to make jokes, or telling lies that are obviously not true so they will know it's not true and they find it funny, go nuts untill your nuts deep.

No and I really don't like the way society seems to give a big thumbs up to lying if it's in the interests of you getting laid. I've heard the "it doesn't hurt anyone" argument which is not always true but even if it was, that's not the point, the point is the other person almost certainly wouldn't want to be lied too, just because they can't tell you're doing something douchey to them doesn't mean it's not a douchey thing to do.

From what I'm seeing, the Escapists are really nice people... or you're lying about not lying which makes you *beep**beep**beep*, *beep**beep* monkey, *beep**beep**beep* Mickey Mouse, *beep**beep* Republican, *beep**beep**beep* Obama, *beep* mother.

If I told you I would buy you whatever you wanted, as long as you gave me ride into town only to run off the minute we arrived, would you feel cheated?

For one thing, a person shouldn't need to and if they do, they probably shouldn't be having sex in the first place(because you're either an ass and shouldn't breed or you've got an STD of some sort...or some hideously grotesque combination of the two...or worse)...IMhO.

For another......Welll I guess in retrospect, that relatively well covers it as far as I'm concerned.

Anyway, if there was any remaining doubt as to my response: No.

if i'm being flirty and sarcastic, i might bend the truth to make it funny, but beyond that no, lying just gets you into more deep shit in the future which there is no real reason to do it in the first place.

Two thoughts.

1. Depends on what you're lying about. "I'm a duke/astronaut/musician" is pretty harmless; "I don't have any venereal diseases" = scum of the Earth.

2. I'm not terribly concerned with "Is it OK?" More so, "Do I want to be the kind of person who has to lie to get laid? For me, getting any kind of attention from women has had nothing to do with something I lied about. I stand out because I don't need to bullshit them and tell them I'm hung like a beached whale, and I've walked away from a girl and never spoken to her again when she asked me to tell her I loved her before we would fuck (I'd met her 2 days prior). Can't say I regret that, though my hand got quite a workout that night.

Depending on the lie, but for the most part no you shouldn't.

It really depends on the lie, but if you're talking about lying about how you feel (that's the first thing I assumed) then no. Lying about your feelings towards somebody just to get them to have sex with you so you can turn around and tell them it wasn't true is awful. I really hope that's not what you meant.

I'd like to see you having sex standing up. Da-dum-tsh!

Seriously though, no. It'll always lead to problems, especially when lying about health.

I've been thinking about this subject for the past few days, is lying to get yourself laid OK? I'm not saying you should lie about everything to everyone, just for one night stands and not excluding the possibility that you may actually like someone and want a deeper relationship with them.
I've been talking about this subject with my friends, some agree, some don't and I can't really get a conclusive result. So, I'm asking you, the people what do you think.

So, should you lie to get laid: on a one night stand and/or when you actually like someone?

EDIT: From what I've seen, people are getting the impression that I'd lie to get laid. No, I'm asking about your opinion only.

EDIT 2: On the Hot Thread list, hell yeah!
um... isn't not telling the absolute truth, and in some way tricking somebody into sex rape?

if they're shallow enough to sleep with you on the basis of something you can fabricate, then you're not losing much moral ground. I wouldnt lie to someone you actually like, but accentuating the truth is acceptable.
