Never played, never seen it.

But judging from all the spoofs and sketches about it and its following I'd never dare try it.

Yup, been playing off and on for about 10 or so years (just BSOD'd when I worked that one out), currently sporting a very fun mono green rush deck and am booked in ofr the prerelease on the 30th.

Out of interest whats peoples opinions of this new mirrodin block?

I haven't played in a long time. My brother, mother and I all used to gather around a table, get our favourite decks out, put on an old movie we'd seen a million times and play. Once we got a mate of my mum's who also played and no shit, we played for six hours (for any Aussies, we knew that cos we saw the start and end of Rage on the ABC).

I learnt to play in high school, and if you handed me a deck right now, I could supply a D20 and still probably play a solid game. Though an up to date rule book would be useful.

Proudest Magic moment: buying a booster pack, and through some divine miracle, I got a Crimson Hellkite and a Teeka's Dragon in one booster.

I used to . . . ages ago. Got into playing right when The Dark series was released - man those cards lead to an extremelly powerful deck . . .

Used to play, but didn't have a lot of people to play with.
Every now and then i remember what a fun game it was... I want to play it again, dammit!

Played up until about 5 years ago (Odyssey block). I like to tell myself I quit because of the redesign, but the truth was that I was getting disillusioned. Add on the new pressures of school, lack of money, and my new vice, PC gaming, and quitting was inevitable.

But it was hell of fun while it lasted. Played U/G since Tempest but it only really worked later on. Someone stole my squirrel/opposition deck and I was very very upset.

Got a deck together about 2 weeks ago. Haven't found anyone to play with yet but there I will be playing in a small tournament soon.

I felt the same way, used to play at school then left and didnt have anyone to play with. Have you tried Magic Online? Its not quite as engaging as playing face to face but still a lot of fun.

I am fascinated by it, and would love to try it and get into it, but I have no idea where to start and lack money as I'm trying to save for a half decent PC D; .

Haven't tried it. Though i think i would prefer to play face-to-face. Though if i get bored enough, i might look into it more (did a Google search and read a bit about it). But i guess I'm kinda lazy, too. I've gotten used to the deck that i have and don't want to go trough the trouble of building a new one.

I own like 15 cards. My first intention was to use them as bookmarks as I saw most serious players as assholes (maybe it's just a local thing, but even a magic player I worked with at the convention said he hated the guys who were in the Magic rooms), but recently I got hooked by it through Loading Ready Run (curse them). So I might start playing casually sometime, but this year I gotta save my money cuz I'm going to travel a lot this year -.-

I started playing when it came to Sweden (revised) up until Ice Age. In the beginning it was huge fun, just me and two friends with a deck and a few boosters each. Then it just avalanched and it wasn't fun anymore. The way they try to force you to buy new cards every few months is just icky.

Haven't played much of the new mirrodin stuff, been sticking to the m11 drafts to get back into the swing of things but it looks pretty cool. I loved the original mirrodin block so more artifact based shenanigans is good.

A bunch of my friends play together at my school. There was a recent surge of Magic players when our gaming club held a tourney last semester. I play with bunch of different deck types; my best deck is a blue-counter, red-burn deck. It's pretty fun to play with.

Not as much as I used to and never online, thinking about getting the XBLA version when I can get some money together
You probably shouldn't, it's not that good and you can't customise your deck.

I have cards and am going to my first Friday Night Magic tournament this friday, although there I can't actually use my cards as it is a rockester draft.

Indeed I do. I have four decks I use on a regular basis:

4) A red/black that gets more powerful when my hand is empty and is very fast to get onto the field
3) A blue/black based on a combonation of quickplay and necromancy
2) A green/red built solely around beatdown and trample

*pulls out favorite deck*

1) A white deck. These are my Angels. My name is Charlie.

And yes I have Akroma, Angel of Wrath in my White deck.
