Hello all! I've been playing MtG for a long while, and have generally stuck to Standard, at least until recently. I'm now in the process of switching over to Legacy, but I'll still attend whatever Limited and Standard events I can. So the question I ask now is, what format do all of the Magic players here play? Feel free to share deck lists, here's my Legacy deck:
Legacy Stoneforge Control
---------------------------

4x Jace, The Mind Sculptor

4x Stoneforge Mystic
2x Vendilion Clique
2x Snapcaster Mage
2x Serra Avenger

2x Force of Will
4x Swords to Plowshares
4x Counterspell
2x Spell Pierce
3x Brainstorm
1x Preordain
1x Cryptic Command

1x Batterskull
1x Sword of Feast and Famine
1x Sword of Fire and Ice
1x Umezawa's Jitte

1x Hallowed Fountain
1x Tundra
1x Mystic Gate
2x Seachrome Coast
3x Glacial Fortress
1x Flooded Strand
2x Scalding Tarn
1x Marsh Flats
6x Island
4x Plains
2x Wasteland

SIDEBOARD:

I have never actually played MtG. However, I fell in love with the cards after a previous thread about favourite flavour texts. Some of those are pure gold.

I primarily play Standard, though I've been slowly building towards a Modern Jund deck to go along with my Modern Twin deck. Getting my hands on a playset of 'Goyfs is rather painful, as is acquiring the shock lands that I don't have.

Currently in Standard I'm playing around trying to find a control deck that suits me. I'm not too fond of the UB lists running around, and Espers manabase feels a bit too unstable (though this might change with Evolving Wilds being reprinted in DKA). I'm probably going to end up trying a list similar to Brian Kibbler's Grixis list sometime in the next fortnight.

I've usually play Legacy but I'll do Commander every once and a while.

The main deck I play is a Mass Polymorph Deck. It does pretty good every Friday Night.

1x Iona, Shield of Emeria
1x Stormside Levianthan
1x Emrakul, the Aeons Torn

4x Redirect
4x Mana Leak
3x Impulse
3x Early Frost
4x Fog

4x Growth Spasm
4x Mass Polymorph
3x Polymorph
4x Awakening Zone
3x Fertile Ground

10x Forest
10x Island

Depends on my mood

In standard, I typically go with some form of control, typically UW, UB, or Esper. However, I'll occasionally branch into other things, like Grixis. I've been running my own Solar Flare variant since Innistrad dropped, but back in Zendikar/Scars (post-bannings) I ran a neat little Grixis deck that was something like this:

4x Sarkhan the Mad
2x Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas

4x Moltensteel Dragon
3x Reassembling Skeleton
2x Steel Hellkite

3x Go for the Throat
2x Lightning Bolt
4x Mana Leak
3x Inquisition of Kozilek
4x Tumble Magnet
4x Preordain

3x Creeping Tar Pit
3x Darkslick Shores
4x Scalding Tarn
3x Drowned Catacomb
4x Mountain
4x Swamp
4x Island

Sideboard
2x Ratchet Bomb
2x Black Sun's Zenith
2x Stoic Rebuttal
4x Shatter
4x Spell Pierce
1x Sarkhan the Mad

Or something around that. Basically, I dropped the Moltensteel, then dropped Sarkhan, pumped the Moltensteel to 10, ult'ed Sarkhan and attacked, dealing 20 in one turn. It had a pretty strong control frame surrounding it, and Steel Hellkite made for a fantastic beater that complimented Sarkhan quite well. Sarkhan could also get out of hand by turning Skeletons into Dragons.

It was a pretty strong deck, and incredibly fun to play. I went 3-1-1 at the FNM I played it at and took 9th. If any players want a fairly cheap deck for casual/extended play that can do well, feel free to copy and modify that list. any control player should love it.

Our group play casual but using the vintage ruling on cards so some decks can be nasty :) also we have a rule of you are not allowed to proxy any cards over ?50 that way you can beta test a deck but not proxy called like wasteland and ancestral recall.

I love sealed deck tournaments so much. Pricey, sure, but I think it is the sign of a great player to put something together with a bunch of random cards, rather than downloading the best deck list out there.

This. It seems pricey but actually the amount I save on not buying mythic rares second hand usually pays off, Also I normally sell my more expensive cards after and usually the tournament pays for itself.

My group sticks to casual and 2HG games. We don't really pay attention to formats or banned cards, but you have to have the physical card to play it. I'm trying to move away from that and into Standard. Problem is, we all have shit jobs that prevent us from keeping up with the current Standard format.

I normally run a full white deck focused on Gideon Jura. Things like Gideons Lawkeeper, Avacynian Priest, and Blinding Mage to tap creatures, then play Gideons -2 to destroy target tapped creature. I'll +2 the next turn and force my opponents creatures to attack, then block with my other guys and play safe passage. If I have Norns Annex out at the time, and they're not playing white, they're paying 2 life for each attacking creature.

The deck also has a few auras and equipment that only helps humans, as every creature in the deck is human.

I also sometimes run a pretty normal Eldrazi deck. It's just mana ramp for Ulamogs crusher, Pathrazer of Ulamog, Spanwshire of Ulamog, and Ulamog the Infinite Gyre. Just for pure fun, I threw an Omen Machine in there. It's great for 4-way deathmatches. That card is purely for fun.
