I used to play a goblin food chain deck ( I seriously love this deck and spent time getting about 65% of my cards signed by the artists); but I pretty much quit around kamigawa just because none of the newer sets worked with the old ones and less and less people played the game. I tried for a while to do the tournament thing but any local ones were held by stores who only let cards of like the last 2 or so sets play (understandable since it forces people to buy new cards over and over, but sucks for those of us who spent tons of time building a perfect deck.) I tried to get back into it two years ago but the few places people played were really out of my way.

I used to play waaaaaay back in the day, when it was new. I think my friends and I made it from Alpha through 4E still playing somewhat regularly, then just screwing around a bit until around Ice Age. Unglued was awesome and got a couple of us to sort of start playing again and have mini-drafts in our apartment a couple years later with whatever expansion was out at the time. No one to play with now, though, and I'm enjoying not spending any money on it, too. Not sure if you can still get away with playing drafts for free on MTGO if you're good enough to win cards to trade for more packs, but if so, I'd consider it.

From what I remember, most recently (several years ago) I was playing green, but traditionally I always liked being a total jackass with blue, with some red and/or black thrown in for shits and giggles, basically going control-heavy and locking up the board so if they did anything, it would kill them, and if they didn't, it would also kill them, and they'd just forfeit instead of putting up with my crap any longer. Heh.

isnt that the yugioh copy off?
Magic the Gathering: 1993
Yugioh: 2002
Also, in the manga, duel monsters (the card game) was a reference to Magic. So in conclusion... No, go away.

Actually, if anything, yugioh is a knock-off of Magic.

Magic was first printed in 1993, whereas yugioh TGC was first printed in 2002. Also, the first reference to the NAME of the card game IN yugioh (the manga/anime) called it "Magic and Wizards" REFERRING TO MAGIC (printed by Wizards of the Coast).

Edit: Damn, someone beat me to it.

I used to play a black/green deck, was alright I suppose, but I started playing Yu-Gi-Oh, and loved it, even if the rules seemed more cryptic than....than.....something really, erm, cryptic

I like green, black, and white. Red and Blue I don't really do. I do have a blue and black zombie deck though.

If you're not playing mono-blue you're doing it wrong.

My counter deck works so good, it not only denies you of anything you could ever play ever, it also denies you an accurate description of my deck, and any further replies from me in this forum thread!

White. The color of victory. I have a blue/white control, Black/white drain, White creature-rush and white buff-farm decks.

And if it all goes bad...

I like to think of it as my Banhammer away from home.

You are missing the artifact/colorless option.
I used to play. Had a white/artifact equipment deck. It was built around creatures that got bonuses when equipped, pulled equip cards from my deck to my hand and reduced equip costs. I could get a 3/10 with vigilance out on turn three. I could attack with a 5/3 with flying and double strike on turn 4. On turn five you were dead.
It was actually only 20 cards off from the deck Little Bashers (Although 20 of it was Mana so you basically change 50% of what actually makes the deck unique.) You are going to need to cut out the creatures that don't in some way get a boost from being equipped or at least affect equipment in some way.

I started playing a few years ago with a Lorwyn Merfolk Blue/White deck and expanded it ever since. It's been mostly on/off for me playing Magic.

I just recently started playing Magic, so I don't really have any good strategies developed. I tend to favor black a lot, but that may change.

I do find it funny that lots of cards are kind of...unbalanced, for the lack of a better term. For instance, darksteel forge.
That's really, really expensive and is still easily beaten (counterspell, remove target artifact from the game, target player must sacrafice x artifacts/permanents etc etc). Most of the cards that appear cheap or unbalanced can be beaten with common cards.

OT I tend to play 3 colour decks, I have a red, green and blue and a White, black and blue. I have some awsome 3 colour cards (by awsome I mean fun), so that's why the multicoloured decks.
