Girl here. I always like seeing a pair of well fitting boxer briefs, but then again - if I can wear what I want, then so can he. Let's face it, if you've already gotten that far, it's not really the underwear you're after.

As a guy who spends his days sat at an office desk all day, some nice loose boxers and equally comfortable trousers/shorts are where it's at.

Though for those days where I do have to run across campus like a maniac some supportive (but not too tight) boxers briefs are great relief for my huge titanium balls. Not briefs though, I haven't worn those since I was about 10, bought a pack of boxers and couldn't go back.

Vince gilligan deliberately chose briefs for walter white to make his character appear as if he had given up on life. That famous scene in episode 1 wouldnt be the same if walter had worn boxers

Agreed but that doesn't make a very good argument for briefs in real life :p

*snickers about the college paper comment* don't we all have papers we should be doing?

Boxer-Briefs... dunno why, they'z smexy on my man-meat :3

briefs are laughable and boxers do nothing as i come from a beach down where its 'normal' for people to be walking around shirtless in what are effectively water-proof boxers XD

so boxer-briefs... yes, that nice middle ground that's nice to look at~ XD

Boxers. I've actually gotten to the point where I can no longer view shorts to be anything other than underwear. And, frankly, I feel no remorse for this. What kind of savage goes around exposing his bare knees to the world?

Yeah so I wear boxers. I remember when I still wore briefs in 5th grade because my parents obviously bought my clothes. And when we went in the locker room to change for gym, everyone else had boxers... yeah... it didn't take me long to switch after that. I guess you could say it was peer-pressure, but now that I'm out of school, people generally don't see my underwear, yet I still choose boxers. Being the only person wearing briefs was only the reason I switched, the comfort is the reason I stayed.

No banana hammock option on the poll? What a shame, it's what my wife prefers me in.

For work and stuff I wear boxer briefs, plain boxers are too easy to escape from.

Where's the other option?
The only underwear I own are long-johns, and I only got those recently because I'm tired of my knees getting cold in winter. They're actually very comfortable.

Other than that though, I stopped wearing it years ago.
What does it do? What is it for? Why do you need a thin, extra layer around that specific area of your body? Underwear that isn't awful, i.e. boxers, can actually be quite expensive, and I just can't think what they're actually for.

I also had to forsake other options such as jockstrap, fundoshi, kaupinam and "willy warmers", if only because I didn't have the heart to perform an image search on them. I've had enough time staring at crotches on the internet for today trying to tell the difference between boxers and boxer briefs, but I'm going to assume most of what I left out are some kind of loincloth.

Commando should really be an option in that pole.

I prefer boxer briefs for times when I have to be active. If I'm running or at the gym I don't want my boys just flopping around down there.

For me, boxers are pointless. They're just a mass a loose fabric that can get balled up inside my pants. If I feel like my junk needs freedom I just go commando.

Boxers are fucking horrible. How the hell do you feel comfortable with all that movement?

I like my support.

Boxer briefs, without a doubt. Looks good, feels snug but not too snug; nothing's flopping around or falling out.

Nice thread, OP. Cheers.

Boxer briefs, because otherwise you're kinda just falling out all of the time and it's really uncomfortable, like someone is trying to choke your neck... but it's not your neck.

And frankly, any man who wears tidy whiteys is a man who should recycle his testicles for something more appropriate to his lifestyle; a pistol with a single shot, perhaps?

Underwear is great for if you think you might accidentally pee your pants and don't want the stain to show.

Otherwise, I am opting out of this question. If you want something that isn't tight and that let's your junk "breath," just don't wear underwear. Who's going to know?

Briefs are actually very comfortable and offer lots of support, but they're hideously unfashionable and I probably wouldn't be seen dead in them. Especially if they were those old granddad ones that Walter White wore in Breaking Bad.

Boxers give better ventilation but offer no support and are horrible when they ride up, which they do pretty much all the time.

Boxer briefs are therefore the best of both worlds, a good compromise would you, hence why I wear them now. I did wear briefs until I was about 12 though, but that was mainly because I didn't really think about my underwear, or any clothing at all for that matter and because it was my mother who mainly bought and chose my clothes, which obviously changed when I moved from being a preteen to a teen boy.

I don't know the difference between Boxers and Boxer Briefs so I'm gonna go with the first option.

I only wear Boxers because they are very comfortable.

Boxer-briefs are BY FAR the best.

Honestly, my junk is too big for boxers. Walking around with my junk swinging around loose and hanging halfway down my thigh is a pain in the ass.
Running without support is a nightmare for the same reason as women with big breasts - my junk just bounces around way too damn much and my nuts end up hurting.
And then when I get all sweaty working, or whatever, it just gets kinda...weird...with my junk glued to my thigh by sweat.

So yea, having underwear capable of keeping everything wrangled together in one place and not flopping around and sticking to things....that's great.
