I use it in regular team deathmatch, but only because it's the only useful third perk in my opinion, although I laugh at people when they use it in hardcore. Really, it keeps me from running around blindly like an idiot while still staying on the front lines. The only time I die from martyrdom is when I'm running around like a zealous idiot; and pretty much only in headquarters, hence why I really don't play it anymore.
Sure the game is slightly unbalanced, but as the cliche goes, fight fire with fire. If the enemy team is using grenade launchers, use one yourself. If the enemy team is spamming grenades, go ahead and throw a few. If the other team all has UAV jammer, then find a class with it and use it to sneak around behind their backs. Call of Duty is a game, and if The American Heritage Dictionary has anything to say about it then a game is:
P.S. don't give me any jive about being a "pro gamer," some kid already tried that and a pro playing on Live on a wednesday afternoon makes as much sense as how a dilithium crystal can power a spaceship.

All this constant bickering over what tools people can't use in order for you to win goes against this basic principal of games. If some people feel that fun is victory, then they're entitled to do it, as it's still a game. If your friend only uses a joke character in a fighting game just to screw with people, sure it's still a game. If I hunt down snipers and say the bible verse from Pulp Fiction before I lay down the law on the back of their heads before they can see me, it's still a game. I know this is starting to sound like a Chris Rock standup special, but whatever method people use in a competitive online game, keep in mind that it's still a game, and you don't have to play it when it stops being fun.The American Heritage Dictionary said:an activity providing entertainment or amusement.
