It has recently been "leaked" that the Final Roster for MvC3 will consist of:
M- Sentinel
Phoenix/Jean Grey
Taskmaster
C- Mike Haggar
Hsien-Ko
Akuma
Final Boss - GALACTUS
It was also "revealed" that Frank West, Cyclops, Venom, and even Phoenix Wright were also planned or considered to be in but were cut for various reasons.
I personally have a hard time believing this is true. Some of it YES because of the recently leaked comic strip so I do believe that Galactus is the final boss and that Taskmaster is in.
However I do not believe that Akuma, Hsien-Ko, Sentinel, and Phoenix are in (Mike Haggar yes).
Reasons why:
-Ryota Niitsuma stated that after Felicia there would be NO MORE DarkStalkers characters to be revealed. Therefore, by this statement, Hsien-Ko is eliminated
-Akuma is too bland, fans forgive me but he is like Megaman, he doesn't bring much of anything new to the playing field. He is similar to Ryu in terms of fighting style. Capcom seems to be trying very hard to avoid clone characters for this game. Capcom has far more unique characters they could be using.
- Frank West not being in because of the zombie mechanics is complete BS. THEY FREAKING DID IT WITH JILL IN MVC2!!! HOW MUCH MORE DIFFICULT COULD IT BE!!!! If he isn't in then I believe it is for a different reson.
- Sentinel COULD be possible. I personally don't believe it but he is far different than any of the characters so its possible.
- PLEASE REMEMBER!!! Many Marvel AND Capcom characters will be appearing not as fighters but just other characters in the story. So it is totally possible the leaked characters will actually only be appearing as cutscene fodder.
- I personally am not sure what to believe about Phoenix so I am just going to say that she is a fake.
- There is a SLIGHT possibility that these are all on purpose releases in order to create Hype for the game. Several times on Facebook, The MVC3 fanpage has been trolling about this news or about character releases. NOT SAYING THIS IS TRUE!!! I am saying there is always the possibility. Plus there are the sloppy moments such as the Mike Haggar and Megaman "leak" from the Capcom party, I refuse to believe that they DIDN'T realize what the picture was of.
- 6 new characters. They claimed the final roster would have 40. NOT including DLC characters. Currently, including all CONFIRMED characters... that makes a grand total of 30. plus the supposed 6 others that makes 36. Where are the other 4? Maybe its 38 you say, ok, where are the other 2?
So those are my theories, reasons, and ideas. Please let me know if you agree or disagree. PLEASE do not make this a thread for character predictions!
