Always thought the choices in ME 1 were rather limited and definitely not 'necessary' for enjoyment of ME2. So on that front I don't think it needs to come out, especially with the little interactive comic.

I do think however that ME1 is vastly superior as an RPG and it would certainly help to increase the understanding of the lore and universe for people. I had a much better time exploring and enjoying the game world in the first one, it kind of hooked me on the universe.

I think it would help to build fan following, maybe that's just me though.

Doubt MS would ever let the property slip though, maybe for a big cash deal when part 3 drops so EA can sell trilogy collectors editions on both consoles.

It should, but it wont. Because Microsoft owns publishing right. They are cunts, but they have the legal rights.

Does anyone know if this will be coming to the Move?
It won't be coming to the PS3 in general.
Not the move, and not the regular system.
Microsoft owns the publishing rights to the first Mass Effect. They will never let Sony sell a product, because Sony is a prime competitor.

[HEADING=2]Oh my God, for the last bloody time.
MICROSOFT OWNS THE PUBLISHING RIGHTS TO MASS EFFECT 1.[/HEADING]

It doesn't matter how much you want it, or how much BioWare wants to give you it - it isn't going to happen.
Unless you're telling me that Microsoft are just going to give one of their biggest rivals access to a brilliant exclusive.
THIS.

I voted "no" just for the sake of stemming the tide of ignorance.

If you want to play it that badly, I've got to assume you own a PC that can play it. Pick it up on the cheap and enjoy its awesomeness.

Mass Effect shouldn't go to PS3, the only reason it will is because Mass effect 2 sells well. But since the whole point of it was a continuing trilogy playing the second then the first would be like randomly picking pages in a book and trying to get the whole story. If they want it then they should do it in order and get the full build up to 3.

Oh, definitely. I know my PS3 buddies would definitely love a chance to play it on their own machines at home.
The game is worth the conversion costs- you gotta share that love!

From the Citadel to the Normandy, to the awful elevator loading screens, I love that game warts and all.

I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favourite thread on the Citadel.

Mass Effect 1 is infinitely better then 2 in every way, so yes, PS3 users should get it.
But you never, ever will because of publishing rights.
This is a perfect summary of my feelings; it should, but Microsoft published the first one, so the PS3 will not being seeing a release of Mass Effect 1 any time soon, if at all.

It would be nice, but it never will be.

That's exclusives for you. A pain in the arse.
