BioWare are being lazy with it. ME1 is only a MGS related game on the X-Box 360. EA published it on the PC, and I'm pretty sure that they would release it on the PS if they had the chance.MianusIzBleeding said:So I suppose it has nothing to do with ME1 being a MICROSOFT GAME STUDIOS game thenIgnatz_Zwakh said:I'm unhappy because Bioware are being lazy and not even bothering to at least port #1 as well. Glad you told me its BioWare being lazy

it's not that they're being lazy it's that they can't. the first one was produced by microsoft so i don't see them letting sony get their hands on it. the second one was produced by EA and they allowed it to be ported over so be mad at microsoft, not biowareIgnatz_Zwakh said:I'm unhappy because Bioware are being lazy and not even bothering to at least port #1 as well. wow, really? That's just sad, I pity you. unless you were jokingZechnophobe said:I was incredibly angry. I was really pleased with this, because this means that whenever I bring it up in conversation more people will know what I'm talking about and therefore more people can agree with me about how awesome this game is!
I see it as a way to bring unity to gamers when certain games go multiplatform, not as a bad thing. So, what are all you guys'/girls' thoughts?
Afterall, the Atari 2600 is the only REAL console out there anymore, why don't those crazy PS3 fanboys know this?
Was me praising a 20 year old console too much of a giveaway? I was being a bit satirical because I can't imagine how a game being ported to another console could ever be a bad thing.zarix2311 said:wow, really? That is where the interactive comic comes into play. In that they will go through the choices that were in ME1 to alter the ME2 story.Hail Fire 998 said:Somewhat.
They get a great game, BUT they don't get ME1.
Which is shit, because that limits the story to the max. They will all have to conform with the default story, which is shit.
So, while ME2 on PS3 is alright, it will be inferior because they cannot unlock the different outcomes that were possible in ME1.
Such an awesome universe and story, it deserves all the exposure it can get.Nighthief said:It's a good thing. Everyone deserves to experience the awesome that is Mass Effect 2.
Uh... I don't have a PS3, I had ME1 on xbox (mah friend broke it) and I have the (very shitty) pc port. I have Me2 with my imported ME1 character.KEM10 said:That is where the interactive comic comes into play. Also, you can get it for the computer for around $15 so it is your own fault for not playing it by now.
Whenever I lose a PS3 exclusive, or someone who only owns a ps3 says "can I come over and play ______", I'm actually happy. I know exclusives are always more worked on that multiplatform games (well, generally they are), but I hate the idea of someone not being able to play a wicked game, and when you say "check out _____, you'd love it!" and they respond with "I don't have a 360....", I feel that the only reason they're missing out on a wicked experience is because they don't own both consoles.Azaraxzealot said:Owning only a 360 means that I try to own the console exclusives to support my brand, but when I saw Mass Effect 2 was coming to the PS3... Not YOUR fault, but who ever didn't play ME1 because of their console.Hail Fire 998 said:Uh... I don't have a PS3, I had ME1 on xbox (mah friend broke it) and I have the (very shitty) pc port. So what was my fault again?
Porting to PC and porting to PS3 are two very different things. Quite a few Microsoft games studio games get ported to PC, but I've never seen any on the PS3. While EA may have gained rights/paid MS to publish on the PC I would be willing to bet that either MS owns the rights to the game or at the very least has an exclusivity contract with regards to console releases.RanD00M said:BioWare are being lazy with it. OT: I am happy for this. While I already have it on my PC, it is good to see fellow PS gamers give it a whirl.
Much better.KEM10 said:Not YOUR fault, but who ever didn't play ME1 because of their console.Hail Fire 998 said:Uh... I have a PS3 and I saw the PC port (which I thought was better except for a few glitches) so I could see the whole story.
