Poll: Mass Effect 2 coming to PS3, who isn't happy about this?

Now the PS3 is getting Mass Effect but we aren't getting Uncharted, Heavy Rain, and God of War games. It just raises all of those old annoyances, but it's even worse now because the console I chose is getting a little less exclusive.

The thing is, the studios would probably be very happy to port it over to the XBOX if the damned thing could run it.

Yes and no. I am happy that PS3 owners get to experience it, but at the same time I can't see why MS would let go of a great exclusive. Also, I am PISSED that PS3 owners get the DLC free.

I absolutely LOVE the Mass Effect series, it is undoubtedly my favorite franchise and I don't own a PS3, but I don't care. Why shouldn't PS3 owners be able to enjoy such a great game? People shouln't be "punished" for buying a specific console.

I'm not opposed to this in any way, shape or form. It's an awesome game that everyone needs to play. That said, this will also give it more publicity etc.

Wait a minute...since when was Mass Effect a platform exclusive? Last time I checked, it came out for the PC as well as the Xbox 360.

Anyway, I don't see why I should be bothered about PS3 owners getting Mass Effect 2, considering it was already a multi-platform title. Infact, if anything, I am perplexed why BioWare isn't releasing the original Mass Effect for the PS3 as well.

I apologize for my prior post complaining about ME1 not coming to the ps3 as well. I had no clue that Microsoft owned the rights to ME1. I will now redirect all my negative fist-shaking towards Microsoft rather than Bioware.

Such an awesome universe and story, it deserves all the exposure it can get.

I got it on a 360, seeing it on a PS3 makes me happy because it means more people get to play it.

Not wanting PS3 players to play Mass Effect 2 is just petty.

Not at all. I am glad that PS3 owners get the opportunity to play such a fantastic game.

What I do object to however, is Bioware's attitude towards this. To flaunt it as superior to the other versions because PS3 owners "waited" is a bit of an insult to those who bought it on release date (Xbox and PC) and have been fans for the better part of a year.

It just seems like a childish way to market it really. Not that it bothers me that much.

I'm certainly happy that more people get to experience Mass Effect. I love the ME series to death and I'm glad more people will be able to play it.

I'm a little envious of the new stuff the PS3 version gets. Improved graphics and all the DLC is really nice... but that comic. I've actually played through Mass Effect two more times than I had intended just to have decent import characters for ME2.

I really just wish Bioware had let us make all the choices during character creation. I can see why they didn't, given lack of context for people who have never played ME1. The comic may not be perfect but it's close enough to something I think the other versions sorely needed that I'm honestly tempted to buy the PS3 version, too.

I am a bit annoyed that they won't get to play ME1 in it's native form, but beyond that I guess I'm happy for them. I have a PS3 but I also have a 360 and a worthy gaming PC.

I'm just pissed off its not coming to vectrex, I hate all you modern day console owners, quite frankly, PS3 is just an expensive blu-ray player, Xbox is just for geeks who can't get girls, wii is for kids, PCs are for planks and Macs are for post twits who think they are cool but are in fact not. As for all those other ipads and gameboys and stuff, why do people bother?

OT: I don't get why people get all in a huff about what comes out on what. I remember there was a bunch of upset fans that Devil May Cry was coming out on 360. "It's a PS3 exclusive!" the fans shouted, to which I scratched my head and said "Yeah? Who cares now they can make more money and more people can enjoy said title."

Sure the PS3 players will lose out on Mass Effect 1 not being on their console, I beat 1 on 360 then moved to PC and beat it there and started 2 on PC as well. They can always figure it out or ..something *shrug*

No, I am not angry, because I am finally able to play it. The Interactive Comic looks good as well, so I can craft different saves extremely quickly. I am looking forward to it a lot.

I really hope it comes to the other platforms some time down the line (Pre ME3). I'm honestly getting tired of wanting to play ME2 but knowing that if I want the full experience I should have a specific ME1 save ready for transfer. I can never bring myself to just pop in the disc and play anymore.

Wind Squid would be proud. But screw the vectrex! It doesn't render blood well enough put it on the Sega Genesis, then an upgraded version on the Sega CD, then the Sega CD 32x!
