OT: As much as I hate the concept of getting exclusive content if you pre-order something, I'll contribute and say that the first choice is the best choice. Armor AND a gun as opposed to JUST armor.

I pre-ordered from gamestop and I'm getting the first option. It seems better anyways; the weapon alone sounds better than the second armor. I also think the 10% more shields in the first armor is very helpful. I just watched some gameplay videos and it looks like shields run out a little quicker than the first time around.

Well If you got DA:O You get the option of Blood Dragon Armor too. That looks pretty cool.

Yeah got DAO and the Blood Armor for ME2, but I get the feeling they give way to much gear(like 4 diferent types of armor, 2 weapons and acces to even more gear with Cerberus card.
It just feels to much and I don't think that's a good think because I always enjoyed finding better and better gear by exploring and buying them from NPC's and now they just give you overpowered gear from the start(IE DA:O the Blood Armor, once i got the stats to use it I never took it of)

I'm a sucker for diplomacy...option 2 if it means more dialogue/persuade choices, but option 1 if "negotiation" just means cheaper store prices.

Of course, I have an almost religious objection to preordering, so the point is irrelevant in my case.

EDIT:

I think I'll just play the game and find the superior armor to anything they give me for free.

It could end up being really overpowered [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DiscOneNuke]. Remember the blood dragon armor from Dragon Age that you get for free?

The blood dragon armour is overpowered but since you can't equip it til much later it just sits there in your inventory, mocking you ;-)
And I hate that link.............. Well, not hate, it is just that reading anything on there invariably leads to clicking on other pages, you could take all day reading one page, lol!

Actually in the final fight the Juggernaut armour is the best because of the level of spirit damage resistance
