Is there a reason to buy Mass Effect 2 without Wrex as a party member? Kinda like KOTOR without HK-47.

I don't know... reminds me a lot of my letdown on Grunt. These guys seem like they were trying to find Gears of War 3 and took a wrong turn. Too much badass, not enough smartass.

Eh.

I like the tattoos, but she just seems like "generic angry lesbian". I'd rather Liara as my biotic.

Sure beats Ashley in looks and personality though.

When she looks like THAT? No thanks.

I don't see how romance is going to work. I already did a romantic thing. What happened between us in those two years, and why am I already done grieving and thouroughly ready to move on?

Mixed feelings about Mass Effect 2 for that reason. I'll like it like I liked Banjo-Kazooie 3. It's a whole different game, and it's only a coincidence that they call him Shepard.

They've only released less than a quarter of the completed squad (I think, correct me if I'm wrong). If everyone's like this, then God no, but one or two absolute nut jobs would be a refreshing change.

The last game, everyone was far too nice, even Wrex, this game needs someone more along the lines of HK from KOTOR, and this girl might be it.

I hate chicks like this. It's like a female-human Wrex, not good. I already know what my squad will consist of anyway.

Also, does anyone else think that Subject Zero is a really stupid name? I don't get it. Why would you call yourself something like that? Where do you get the idea to call yourself that?

I'd rather have a real name.

I like her. Not like the kind of cool that, say, Ashley or Alex Vance were, but just a certain badassitude that I find entertaining.

Definitely an improvement over Ashley, even if I can't stand the "Why don't you just shoot everyone in the Face?" characters.

Also, Shepard's blank face while they were rolling around made me lol.

Why do people keep picking up on this?

When I see the name Subject Zero, I think of science experiments. Humans need extensive surgury to use biotic abilities. And hey, she's obviously psychopathic. That's exactly the behaviour you would expect from someone who is captured, given the designation "Subject Zero", and used as a test subject against their will. There's her story people, I'd bet on it. As for the name, perhaps she was taken as a child and can't remember her real name, or perhaps she's pulling the "the old me is dead" shtick. Either way, I doubt she came up with it on her own.

Shes already a massive improvment over that ***** ashley that was the easiest choice in gaming history I tell you that. Crappy xenohpobe, uptight, zealot what were we on about? Oh yeah Project Zero, yeah cool whatever.
lol, couldn't agree with you more on Ashley.
You know, I don't get why people hate on Ashley that much. She's just conservative at most (and you can change her viewpoint, like you can with a lot of Bioware characters). Seems like a lot of people are guilty of Ron the Death Eater when it comes to her.http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RonTheDeathEater

I understand that. My point is that it's lame and stupid. It makes no sense for her to have gotten her name from a science experiment. You never have a test subject named "subject zero". That makes no sense. If your naming your subjects with numbers, you start at one.

They've showed off at one point or another Jacob Taylor (a biotic it seems), Miranda Lawson (a tech/biotic I believe), Thane (possibly a tech/soldier), Grunt (soldier most likely) and Subject Zero (biotic).
So from what I've seen, Jacob, Miranda and Thane don't fall into the psychotic blood craving nut category that Grunt & Subject Zero fall into.

well since this is an rpg/shooter it has to have some rpg elements besides lvling up so a divisity of personalities among the squad members is important

Was I the only one who liked tali? she was my favorite character, I hope she comes back!
The devs already confirmed she's back.

OT: This character's causing quite the stir. The official forums practically exploded when they released the vid, with a surprising amount of people calling "Ruined For-EVAR" because of her attitude and language. Personally, I'm intrigued. I tend to play more paragon characters, or paragades, but I still think I'll use her. Clearly she's damaged goods, and I doubt she's quite as one dimensional as people think. She's been through quite a lot, which has likely affected her demeanor, but I'm sure there's more to the story. And the devs have hinted she may be influenced by Shep, meaning she could soften up to paragon characters (or possibly go extremely renegade if your Shep fits that bill). Either way, I'm excited. We've seen a broad variety of character types introduced so far, which excites me. And SuZe is a great example of a woman subverting the usual gender roles, which I'm all for.
