I am pretty sure they ignored some power spam in Gold due to a bug that is still in the game. If you spam a power a fuck-ton sometimes it just breaks for the rest of the match. Its a pretty rare bug though. I found that Stasis Bubble -> Throw spam usually eats them alive. Biotic explosion destroys their barrier and throw spam ensures that they are stun-locked until death.boag said:

I haven't gone to Silver yet, because I love running around as a Krogan Sentinel Melee Tank. It's fun just to charge and heavy melee enemies, which I know I can't do on Silver. The same with Vanguards, I only play them on Bronze because I know I take too many risks playing them that Silver won't be good for my team.
Human Engineer is usually my Silver+ class, seeing as he's a jack of all trades basically.

1200 health, 1600 shields, and 70% damage resistance with Tech Armor and Rage on! oh yeah! Who says I plan on going down on Bronze? Unless I try to melee a phantom, brute, banshee, atlas, or anything else with a 1 hit kill button! I actually forgot that the Atlases had a 1 shot move, and before then I would charge and just melee them down to nothing....then one time it picked me up but a shell in my face and left me for dead at the Extraction point of the mission >.>harpst3r said:

I've had no issues with the community at all. Everyone I ran into was trying and playing their class appropriately, and no one was being a jerk or kicking anyone.
I tended to play Soldier just because that's what I was used to from the SP game but I am quite interested in working on my Engineer class, particularly if I ever unlocked the Quarian version.

The Engineer is my favorite class as there is very little he can't handle and if you spec it right overload is damn near a chainlock stun.Fappy said:
A melee Sentinel Krogan can be done on silver but like you said. You need backup. If you put the points in you can one shot pretty much everybody but the heavies and you can actually go toe to toe with a few of them. You just need to get used to the range on that heavy attack and have somebody to watch your back.
I see a lot of people have trouble with Banshees. They are a pain but they can be chipped down rather quickly with biotic explosions and tech bursts.
Bit of a mix between Vanguard and Soldier. Biotic Charge is too much fun to be allowed (especially when followed by an assault rifle spray), and grenades + sniper rifle is sweetly effective.
Basically, I'm either jumping across the map like mad or sniping from a safe distance.

I haven't started playing the multiplayer yet, mainly due to only knowing one other person who has the game on PC like me and he hasn't had a chance to play multiplayer yet. I'd be happy to join up with you guys, just give me time to get a good character going first lol.

Biotic explosions are the solution to damn near every situation. They are so satisfying.Swyftstar said:

I played a human Sentinel for the longest time, because i really really loved Throw. then i unlocked the Turian Sentinel, and learned how tech armor basically makes you the walking gunship to the Krogans walking melee tank.
I can stand on a cerberus grenade and take about 1/5 shield damage when anyone else gets knocked out, and overload easily strips phantoms, banshee, and even atlases of their shields, leaving them open to my warp. all i need now to really do damage is a good weapon, like the Mattock, or a carnifex, sadly i'm still stuck on a phalanx II, which is servicable.

I like the multiplayer, just needs more gametypes. Gets somewhat stale fast. I work well in groups and lookout for other teammates. I dislike Vanguards just because they get in my way a lot of the time or jump in for that final hit.

Rarely if ever do I end a match less than 10,000 points above the next player, and usually it's more like 15,000 - 20,000 points above them. I can handle whole waves of enemies on my own.
Highlight was taking out two brutes and a banshee by myself after the banshee insta killed my team on round 10 while trying to defend a capture point and then capturing the point by myself.

My favourite classes are the Infiltrator, specifically, Quarian. Sabotage, while pretty useless against Reaper forces, works wonders on Cerberus tech, and is just laughably fun against Geth. It's always awesome when you make a Geth Prime wipeout it's own team. I'm after either of the Widow rifles, but I'm stuck with the Mantis at the moment. I only carry a rifle, so I can keep my power cooldown as low as possible, because really, if you're in a situation where you can't use your rifle, you're doing it wrong.

Humans are probably the best class for this, being the only race with Nova. I tried an Asari Vanguard and it was just terrible compared to their human conterpart.
