Of all things, I don't like the spike in difficulty. I play games for story and experience, not to get my ass kicked.

Easily one of the more minor issues.
Well there is a 'Story Mode' which was pretty much designed for people taht want what you want.

OP: I'd be lying if I said everything was improved but honestly, until the full game comes out I can' tell. The abilities have been tweaked to work with a comfortable complexity and the skill trees run deeper which is good. I can't comment on the weapons and mods cause I haven't actually seen how they work. Gonna have to wait till next Thursday for the rest.

I take it the other dozen or so ME3 hate threads just weren't good enough for you?
First off I don't hate Mass Effect 3, I just wanted to let my pet peeves with it out. I still believe it will be an amazing game and I can't wait for it. And secondly I didn't really find any hate threads besides the DLC defending article and that was all people complaining about the unfairness of DLC. I thought I said that beside my peeves everything else was great. But now I see tons of hate threads and I see what you mean now.

Well basicly, my soldier doesnt feel AS special to me now since every class can use every weapon now but, i suppose its fine since i was getting tired of having my two favorite squad mates only being to use shotguns/submachine guns.

If you're talking about the dialogue options in the demo, that is apparantely because of memory constraints on the demo that they had to take it out, among other things like lowering the texture quality in the demo.
I feel like they should have just said "Fuck the single player demo" with all the ill will it generated from the easily angered. better to have just released multi and nothing else
Or perhaps they could of just released them seperately maybe... that could of been a wiser thing to do if memory is the problem with the demo.
Yeah, but I'd bet microsoft doesn't allow more than one demo per game or something equally foolish.

At least the soldier can use all the ammo abilies though. Sadly it's only in single player.

Why does the Soldier Class suck so hard now?

It used to be the Soldier class what the go to for Getting all the weapon types and maining heavy armor, now its been reduced to the most shitastic thing ever, if you even think about playing a human soldier in multi, you better get used to being dead half the fucking time.

Their Def bonus are atrocious, their skills pathetic, concussion blast is pretty cool when it actually hits something, but there are skills that are better.

The worst part is that since now any character can carry any weapon, the Soldier has become the HARDCORE GET YOUR ASS HANDED TO YOU CLASS. Its unforgiving to play a human soldier, at least the krogan gets a monstrous Meelee and def bonus from fortification, but the Human, is fucking shit. I hope they get another weapon and armor buff in the main game, because not being able to use time dilation via adrenaline rush makes them the shittiest class all around.
In single player, the time dilation is still there (I think) and the while any class can use any weapon, only the soldier can use all of them at the same time. And my friend plays soldier, he doesn't seem to die all the time. Now, how long until this becomes a back and forth with zeel? He's already here, it's only a matter of time..
I should have been more clear, its not the single player I was raging at, it was multiplayer.

Though over this weekened when I finallymaxed out all classes I did learn how to make a semi usefu;l soldier whose primary skill isnt to die A WHOLE FUCKING LOT.

What I bassically did is make a Concussion shot spammer, with an Avenger Assault rifle, why the Avenger you ask?

Well, after testing it seems concussion shot not only takes skill cool down into effect, but also the dmg base and fire rate of your weapon, I really wanted to use it with the mattock or revenant, but both weapons are too god damn heavy, and the revenant is a piece of unwieldly shit that cant aim straight at long ranges.

Trust me if you are a soldier, you do not want to be anywhere near close range with anyone, even in bronze.

So what I ended up with, is a soldier that fires 1 CS super fas after every 5 shots from the anvenger, pair that with a bigger area of effect and you basically start fucking over everything the game throws at you. If it doesnt fall down it will stagger.

Adrenaline is still a shit skill in the Multiplayer part though.

Soldiers get Frag Grenades, which is easily one of the best abilities if not the best. That coupled with Adrenaline Rush make you an absolute killing machine. The last rank of Adrenaline Rush also gives a passive 50% shield increase. Honestly though, the assault rifle should have been kept a soldier only weapon.
Frag Grenades are cool and all in Bronze, in silver they are fairly useful to screw up Guardians, the deal breaker is if you got shield damage upgrade or not. But I cant possibly fanthom how AR is any good... at all.

Wait. You thought the single player demo for ME3 was hard?
Well difficulty is subjective but, I will say in ME2 having never played a cover based shooting game I played on the hardest difficulty and I didn't fined it that hard. So I am all for an increase in difficulty.
well the Ai isnt a dumb bag of bricks that screams ENEMIES EVERYWHERE anymore, thats for sure.

Fuckers are working together to kill your characters, flanking manuvres, cover fire, tactical formations. It took me a while to leanr how to deal with each group of enemies and work together with other people to counter their advances.
To be fair I didn't find my companion AI to be that much better. I remember taking I think Kasumi and Grunt all the time. Kasumi because she couldn't be shot half the time and Grunt because he didn't die.
Sorry, I was talking about the Enemy AI in ME3.

Eh, I've had some success with the human soldier, though I now know how I SHOULD have designed him. I shouldn't have maxed out the adrenaline rush or fitness, with those points I could have raised frag grenade and concussive shot without losing out much.
For one, adrenaline rush is decent, it adds more damage for your weapon, which is good when you need to kill that phantom about the stab your face. But without the time dilation of singleplayer I find it less useful, it's mostly useful up close where you need to pour shots into an atlas or something.
The soldier can also carry a lot of stuff, so you can aim for the heavier weapons without losing too much power recharge. (I for one mostly use the revenant, but I seem to be in the minority.)
And boy, those skills can be powerful. The frag grenade not only hits a large area, but does a lot of damage, so you can nearly clear out an entire room with one good toss. Then we have the concussive shot that has can so swiftly be reloaded that you can spam them at enemies. The enemies can't shoot back at you when knocked over for once...and the concussive shot is excellent against the thing you really hate...the phantoms. Oh you have a barrier, huh? Well say hello to my little explosive friend...

As to the topic...not really, then again you don't see much in the singleplayer, and I can't compare to any ME2 multiplayer. I did dislike how there was stuttering during the first half of the singleplayer though...but I'm guessing it's gone by the time the real game comes out.
Concussive shot has been a joy to use, I dont know how you can handle the revenant, the accuracy is too far gone to be useful at long range, and the soldier can hardly take any hits at close range for it to come into play, specially on silver and gold.

I will also agree that frag grenades are a joy to use.

I completely agree with you, though I thought there were some improved areas in the demo, (better combat, more RPG stuff) I was really surprised at how little you can pick you'r dialogue, I've since counted the number of dialogue options you get in the first part of the demo, its 5...in about 25 minutes of gameplay.

At medium to long ranges I shoot from cover, which seems to enhance the accuracy ever so slightly, then I fire it in bursts, like I usually do in battlefield 3. I tap-tap-tap....and usually stagger the enemy with the heavy shots, which gives me more shots at them. (And I don't usually aim at ONE foe at those ranges, but a bunch coming around a corner and the like, which sends them ALL staggering and killing them at the end...though ones work too, but I have to be even more careful with the taping then.) I put up the extra ammo modifier (108 shots in one heat sink right now! :-D )and the stablizer which does a lot to help.
As to close range...I move and spray, generally (with grenades and adrenaline shot in it) which can again, send the enemies staggering and unable to retort as I carver through their health bar...works for me. :) (though I only play silver, not gold, so I wouldn't know there.

When I aim them right, yes. :p

This. A thousand times this. Thank you, I was worried that everyone but me caught the blind and stupid virus.

OT: The fact it took me more than 10 seconds to realize that it was Ashley who was in the blue armor. I see she's now taking fashion pointers from Miranda. Might have to replay ME1&2 to make sure she's the one I kill off.

I don't like that all the females got implants and botox. Otherwise almost everything is an improvement, and I just played through the first two games again last week, then went straight into the demo again, so they were even more apparent for me.

I also like that Bioware finally discovered white light.

you are far more skilled than I am with it then :D

I udually take up a supportive role in the game, becoming the flanker, disabling enemies, providing support fire, the only time I ever play true offensive is with the Vanguard, which is suicide in gold unless you have ungodly skills, timing and some sort future sight or enough understanding of the games glitches and spawning mechanics to set everything in a row for maximum Damage.

"Is there anything that changed in ME3 that you don't like?"

I am still looking for the "don't know yet" option, since the game is not out yet and nothing I saw in the demo makes me think this won't be more of ME 2.

It's tricky, I admit, but doable, I usually mix it with a scoped pistol for those pesky guardians. (though at close range you can actually spam shots at the general area of the slit, but I tend not to favour that and instead retrat.)

Ah, I love those playing those roles, it allows my favourite character, a Turian sentinel, to take up a high position and start sniping enemies until I have 50-60 kills on silver, without being flanked all that often! Kudos to you for securing me, kudos! :-D (also, have you tried the revenant with the Turian sentinel? He has a plus 55% stability bonus...so for me that right now is plus 125% stability bonus with the stabilizer for the gun...it's awesome)
Heh, haven't even tried the vanguard for just that reason, I hate flying into melee range like that, I'd rather run a Krogan up at them then. (and those wanting a Krogan Vanguard don't know what balance is... :p )

No problem with the single player game. IT's THE MOTHER FU*KING MULTIPLAYER. No splitscreen multiplayer? what the f*ck EA? what the actual f*ck?
Seriously though Ashleys nose has improved drastically.

Ah, yes, "friends." The biological lifeforms that allegedly play video games together in the same room. We have dismissed that claim.

I did not know the Turians gaines a stability bonus, I was often times wandering why Krogan and Turians were using it so much, where do you view the data?

Also I play the Turian Sentinel, much the same way I play all other classes aside from Soldier, Carnifex plus skill spamming, Mainly Overload which let me get away without putting any points into warp. Which should be a negative on my approach against phantoms, but ive found that overload drops their biotic barrier better than warp does, Im left wondering, with the possibility that the skill sets has been changed again in this game, or if this is just a fluke from the demo.

Also a general question any and all.

Has there been any word, if the levels, gear and other goodies that have already been unlocked on the demo transfer over to the full game?

I remember kingdom of Amalur letting you carry over whatever you got, I am hoping it is the same for ME3.
