I don't really care about Origin, I have to have this game. EA can have all the data they want.

What a totally un-biased poll that observes all of the main opinions all can have fairly.

Past the idiot poll, Xbox for me, that is where all six of my saves are.
Same here. I have multiple saves from both Mass Effect games on my Xbox.

To answer the origin question: I don't care, I wouldn't buy it for PC anyway. I'm against Origin, but it's kind of moot since they can't install it to the platform I'd use.

To answer the title question of Mass Effect 3: Yea or nay, they lost me somewhere partway through ME2 and I have no vested interest in the series anymore. Which, in the end, makes it even harder to care about Origin.

The fanboys, even a good chunk of the ones hemming and hawing will buy this game, and a ton will buy it on PC despite Origin and their own objections. They will further validate the notion that this is okay, because self control is almost unheard of in the gaming community.

This is assuming any truth to the assertion that PC copies will use Origin.

Origin already sneaked up on me so what I got to lose now?
Between steam, origin, facebook, hotmail and who knows what else they should have every piece of data "they" would want on me ¬¬

And would rather like to see how the me series ends, for good or worst.

After some perusing of the ME3 website, it appears that ME3 will be using Origin on the PC version...
Where exactly does it say that Origin will be mandatory for ME3?

Care to provide a link? Because I can't find anything.

I would rather wait until a cracked version comes out and then download it illegally than let them install origin on my PC. Fuck EA.

Yes, please. Also, any binary poll where one choice is wordier than the other needs some editing.

well I outright refuse to use origin, and this will probably be the first game that I really care about. now while my government has already made aspects of the EULA illegal I just don't want DRM that admits its going to sell my personal information.
I wonder if a big name game like this with major DRM issues will mess with the piracy numbers, I mean most games I could care less about but this is one I want to see the ending of and I bet there are a lot of people like me. If I were a man with better internet I would be tempted to visit a torrent site and get it that way, I wonder just how many people will do that and if they will see this as a bad idea.

If I have to use Origin in order to purchase ME3 then forget it. I'll just buy a hard copy for PC [since all my previous ME games were PC]

At first I thought this was a stupid question. Then i saw the poll going the way of "yes".
What the fuck is wrong with you people? not just you people, everyone in this fucking world.
It's obvious that every fucking government is too busy spreading their legs and getting fucked by big corporations to actually control their behavior so it's up to us, and when you throw money at immoral, evil, thieving services like origin you just give them the means to do it.

Can't care less for Origin - just another D2D service being maintained by a major publisher, so what?

The direction BioWare taking with Mass Effect is much more bothersome though. Turning cult-status roleplaying game into on-rail shooter with weapon upgrades and dialogues (same as Dragon Age 2 turned into button-mashing beat-em-up... with dialogues) is rather sad and no amount of hype will make me pre-order it. Picking it up for 20$ on sale will be more reasonable in my opinion.

Ya I dunno it's a bit of a dilemma for me, I have mass effect 1 and 2 on steam and I would of bought 3 there as well but since it won't be on steam and I don't like origin I may have to simply get a cracked version. While I don't like to pirate software I really don't feel like EA are giving me a lot of options here. Either I buy it and crack it and end up supporting their origin fiasco even if I never use it or I pirate it, and don't support bioware or the voice actors etc etc. Then there is option 3 don't buy it at all and always be left wondering what the hell happened.

/le sigh.

Maybe once it hits the bargain bin and if it doesn't suck too badly.

Don't want to encourage more publishers to all start selling exclusively through their own steam alternatives.
Soon our rigs may be slow down to a crawl with a dozen clients all running in the background.

Alrighty then!

Origin; an intrusive, badly functioning, non user friendly system that needs to fall on it's ass, but won't.

ME3; Could be awesome, and i hope it is. But Bioware's latest endeavor (DA2) was such a piece of shit that i'm kinda scared what to expect. The comment they made a while back that it will be even more combat oriented is something i don't like. Story and immersion need to be the main thing, but i fear a more FPS style gameplay. That said, i was also skeptical about ME2 and that turned out amazing for the most part.

Sooo, I'll probably get it. Though i would like some sort of box-set to come out. I'd get that fo sho!
