Really, in my humble gaming opinion, if your using a PC to play anything other than a massive RTS (like the Total War series or *shudder and gag* Starcraft)or an MMO than your wasting your time. PC gaming in general is dead its much better to play on a console. Hell half the time people play PC's with console style controllers so why not cut out the middle man and save yourself a whole lot of time, money, and grief.

Those that have PS3's might slightly disagree but 360 owners know what im talking about.



Also ME3 looks to be one of the best games of this generation, now add to that the fact that it will end different ways depending on how you played ME1 and 2, and you open up a host of replay possibilites for all three games.

Have fun with your stripped down version of Team Fortress 2 then. No hair off my back.

Actually I have Steam on my comp and when TF2 went free to play I downloaded it...I dont see what the big fuss is. Ive played better. Sure the TF model was copied alot but I found Tf boring to shooters of today.

But I really want to end the trilogy, so I'm probably need to install it anyway. Going to be mad though if I can't use my old saves!

According to the current agreement, "EA would never sell your personally identifiable information to anyone, nor would it ever use spyware or install spyware on users' machines. We and agents acting on our behalf do not share information that personally identifies you without your consent, except in rare instances where disclosure is required by law or to enforce EA's legal rights."

While the wording on collecting information about a user's computer, operating system, software, and software usage remains mostly intact, another clause from the agreement no longer appears. That now-omitted line originally stated, "EA may also use this information combined with personal information for marketing purposes and to improve our products and services. We may also share that data with our third party service providers in a form that does not personally identify you." In fact, the new EULA makes no mention of marketing at all.

The third section in the EULA, "Application communications and conduct/privacy settings," has also changed considerably. It no longer includes wording that "EA reserves the right to monitor communications on the Application and disclose any information EA deems necessary," nor does it specify that if users don't agree to EA's collection, they shouldn't install the application.

THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM ANY MORE.

This Eula is now no more invasive or threatening than Steam's, or any other programs'.

If it does appear to, then yes I won't be getting it.

Perhaps you should paste all the above information in the OP to ensure that everyone voting is fully informed rather than reacting to outdated sensationalism. Also, fix your poll to remove the bias.

I have the collectors edition pre ordered on amazon I don't care if the drm is the 12 trails Hercules I have 200 hours on ME I am seeing this ending god damn it.

Nope, I am getting the XBox 360 version of ME3, so I have no issues either way. Both my ME and ME2 are console games, as well.

However, Origins has changed it's EULA by now, so everyone can settle down with the rhetoric. Of course, I don't really care too much as I'm getting TOR as a physical copy, so at best I'll just be registering online..

What the fuck is wrong with you people? not just you people, everyone in this fucking world.
It's obvious that every fucking government is too busy spreading their legs and getting fucked by big corporations to actually control their behavior so it's up to us, and when you throw money at immoral, evil, thieving services like origin you just give them the means to do it.

The poll is idiotic because it doesn't allow the "Yes, but I'm not going to get Origin" question.

It's going to be perfectly possible to get ME3 for PC without installing Origin, whether EA likes it or not. And if that is what it takes, then that's how I'll play Mass Effect 3.

The poll should just have read "Yes" or "No".

Xbox. At least I would if I had beaten ME2. Haven't beaten ME2 because you need to have an end game save in ME1 to import and I started a new game plus so I don't have an end game save anymore. I do own a copy of ME2 and plan to get ME3 after finishing it.

Many have, and the many have also noted how ambiguous the wording still is. It's not in clear print that they will mine the hell out of your computer (anymore), but neither does it say that they (explicitly) won't either.

Yeah they may not raid for the purpose of selling, but what about trading?

I mean I wonder if there will be always-on DRM through Origin. If it's just through the game, that's not really a problem (the data involved would be absolutely miniscule). The main problem is Origin auto-patching, so, as long as the DRM isn't through Origin somehow, you should be able to run the game without even opening Origin like you can with all of the games on it right now, handily avoiding your problem.

I'd be somewhat surprised if the DRM were through Origin actually, since it's a multi-platform release.

Edit: From what I'm seeing, the DRM can't be through Origin, since the game will be offered through other services. The only one that looks to be Origin-specific is the Deluxe edition.

Well the deluxe edition doesn't have much going for it; a tin dog and an ingame hoodie for Shep to wear seems to be the highlight of the pack. Not a lot of incentive, or compensation for that matter, to allow virtually unrestricted access to your computer's contents.

Doesn't change the answer, somebody already posted it, but according to the ME3 EULA, you only need an origin account to register the game, which may not even require you to download the program.

Can you link the ME3 EULA? I'd like to have a read of it.
