Poll: Mass Effect Unknown Soldier

By now we've all seen the Mass Effect 3 trailer and am I the only one who's intrigued by this soldier narrating?
I've never really be one for RPGs and Shepherd is a real blank slate as a character, but this guy, this unknown soldier, with his English accent and his hiding inside of large buildings and sniping baddies intrigues me. It seems a lot more action packed and the confined setting, one city as opposed to the entire universe really appeals to me, plus the hopelessness of battle the Reapers is just so.... Terminator-y. And I mean that positively.
Does anyone else feel like the want to know more about this guy and his story? A spin-off, downloadable game, comic, something.

Haven't really given him much thought... he was just a narrative component, not that intriguing.

Just pointing out, thats an english accent, there's no such thing as a 'british accent'.
That's one of those things that really bugs me.

I'm sure he'll be part of ME3, they wouldn't introduce a character like that if they weren't planning on it. They would keep it more "anonymous soldiers" if it was just a guy.

I'm sure when Shepherd gets to Earth in ME3 he will meet up with this guy where they will fight some Reapers (or perhaps invite them over for tea).

Thanks, i didn't mean to come across as a dick, but I've yet to hear a mixture of scottish english irish and welsh in the same accent :L

OT sean bean would make a great character in any videogame

Yes, in one of several possible ways.

I don't want him as a companion however, he seems like a plain and simple soldier. He's basically a less macho replica of Master Chief. That makes him more protagonist material, rather than a sidekick.

I want to see him in a DLC or as a mission on Earth separate from Shepard.

I'd love a side mission where you play as the Unknown Soldier on Earth, without squadmates, sabotaging enemy defenses and encampments. I can see how this would fit nicely with Shepard's storyline.

but I want it to be Dragon Age Origins stile where I can pick my race and class and you lead a rag-tag bunch of survivors on some mission to defend the city and you eventually get to bang one of them

Probably not, as Cerberus are aware of the reapers, and if things got as bad as they did, I would imagine the Illusive man would tell all the members about them, at least, enough to know what they are.

However I would like to see the story tie in with him somehow (perhaps play as him for the tutorial?)

Also, does anyone else think he sounds a bit like jango fett?

That would be pretty cool really, though I would be stuck calling his character Boromir no matter what!
