Nope.

There's nothing in the least bit interesting there. He's a soldier. He's grey. He's English. He shoots stuff. Meh.

That's not to say Bioware couldn't make a good character out of the guy. I'm sure they could. They just haven't shown me anything interesting...yet.

I want Kal'Reegar on my team. I demand it. The guy in the trailer? Who knows.
Kal can die in 2. I don't think that will happen. Same reason we didn't get Wrex back despite his being the best character in 1. I really wanted to romance him.

My guess, and probably completely wrong if the past is any indication heh, but with bioware announcing DLC for ME2 close to the release of ME3, I think he might turn up there, with him as the principle character and a bunch of human suvivors, showing the attack on earth as a prequel/into/set up point to ME3, at least I think it would be cool.

Ah! You're right! Damnit...I forgot because I never once even thought about letting him die. What cold-hearted scourge of the universe would Kal die?

He sounded a bit like Sean Bean. I'm not holding my breath on hearing more from this guy.
Now that you mention it, he does sound a bit like Sean Bean...

That would be pretty cool really, though I would be stuck calling his character Boromir no matter what!

:S.

Whoever is voicing this guy is not Sean Bean. I'll put my house on it. They have completely different accents. Bean is from the North of England and whoever is voicing this person is definitely from the South. He sounds absolutely nothing like Bean.

I'm sure any people from the UK can back me up on this. Americans have quite an off ear when it comes to accents within the United Kingdom (or accents in general). It would be like me trying to tell you that Shepard is voiced by Joe Pesci.

It is Sean Bean. I'm pretty sure it's been announced. So... I can have your house?

Source? If it is Bean has amazing range and should be given an Oscar.

Why did you have to go and say this? Now I wish it was true!

edit: And it wouldn't truly be a Pesci related post without me flaunting around a piece of musical genius... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4et8Dt6rco

Can't find it now. I remember reading it on Gamespot or something. Nonetheless, you may be right. I guess you can keep your house. For now.

I hated that trailer, it seems like Call of Duty: Spacern Warfare. The guy's voice reminded me so much of Gaz from the beginning of CoD4. "50,000 people used to live here, now it's a ghost town." "A lot of humans used to live here, now it's a ghost world."

Nah I'm certain.

It's definitely not him. Bean struggles to shake his Yorkshire accent in everything he does. If that is him then he has done some amazing secret vocal training.

I could care less. I don't think he was meant to appear as a regular character, and if he is, well, that would be boring and uninteresting. We need an ElCOR.

I'll have to hear more before I can decide, I mean for all we now he's just a random Londoner who locked himself in the clock tower with a rifle.

Well I never said anything definitive :p

Doesn't sound like anyone I know though. Regardless, I am bad at recognizing any actor and/or voice, British or otherwise.

I would make a joke about how it would be cool to have an Elcor Shepard but I think the Male voice acting manages it adequately enough.

Well, I remember the first teaser for Mass Effect 2 turned out to not be "Geth Enemy #325" or "Commander Shepard Got Turned into a Geth" but, as we all know, Legion.

So my thinking is that this is the same kind of situation. I think he'll turn out to be an Alliance Marine reluctantly joining Shepard, or going AWOL to join Shepard. Something like that. My only concern is that he just looks so... Marine-ish, so Human. Was the reason I never liked Kaiden until my 2nd playthrough of Mass Effect 1. He's got the whole future space Brit thing going for him, though.

We'll see what happens.

I think you could make an interesting character out of that. A devout earth-dweller who slowly becomes unhinged in the face of the vast expanses of space and the plethora of alien cultures contained within.
