I feel so - f&*king - DIRTY for saying this but I'm going to admit it. Yes, I wanted the Hollywood ending and yes, I'd pay money to get it as DLC.

That said, I don't think it'll happen. And it's to do with this:

If people want one badly enough, I'm sure they'll do it. It'll make them money anyway.
I don't believe the ending suffered from rushed production or lack of resources or anything. To me, it smacks of artistic choice and as such, I get the feeling it's probably something Bioware will dig their heels in over - changing the ending would probably seem like messing with their art, putting a clown nose on the Mona Lisa or something, and I'd be surprised if they'd be willing to do it, no matter how much money it would make them.

I would pay to get a proper ending. I'd be pissed about it, but I'd sure as hell pay for it.

The current ending isn't even an ending. The game ends, but there's no actual conclusion or any sort of closure, which is what a story needs to end properly.
But because Bioware did that, it lends itself to open speculation about what happens afterwards.

In my vision of the end, all the surviving Normandy crew (after being rescued because fuck off, Bioware) meet back on Earth because they each get a message that said a bar was opening up and it was important or whatever, and the story ends with Shepard being revealed as the person who opens the bar.

...and then it plays Pleasure Club's Cops and Criminals as the credits roll.
That's how you end a trilogy.

DLC will come. No doubt about that. But I won't be paying for it. First I'll wait to see what the community has to say about it. Then I might watch it on YouTube. Then I might find someone to gift it for me, or find another way to obtain it. But after what Bioware have done, I will never give them a cent. They owe us so much more after this disappointment.
Well, one could say, that, again, Adam "never asked for this".
And my mature comment would be:

Meh, on one hand i'd accept this ending, but if there were to be DLC, i'd like it.
Same as the Fallout 3 one and i did see some interesting theories about the ending beeing a dream/hallucination/whatever.
It just does'nt add up, and maybe it was Bioware's plan all along.

I just hope they don't pull a End of Evangelion.
"you don't like the sad ending?, okay, have this!"

* we get the most disturbing ending ever*

Nothing can wash the bitter salt out of my mouth however they may restore some...very little faith if they show redemption.

However, it's not going to happen because of the dilemma. If Bioware/EA does add or change the endings then they would be admitting that they were wrong - showing weakness, lack of confidence and lack of direction towards the fans. The alternative is to have a stiff-upper lip and hope that the rest of the games from bioware do well.

PR nightmare?
