Seriously though, I do not believe there is a meaning of life, I just believe in living.

This is a strange one tbh. Everyones will be and has been different so far execept 42 :).

On topic: Mine would be to seek the questions that are asked before I find any answers. As without the question the answer is meaningless. As would be life if we knew what it was for rather than living and finding out our own meanings.

Probably the only thing you can know with 100% certainty is that you exist
The only thing for certain, is uncertainty. Even uncertainty is uncertain. And I am not even sure about that!

I think you've just exemplified my point.

"Be nice to people, read a good book every now and then, avoid eating fat, try to get some walking in, and live in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations."-Monty Python's Meaning Of Life

But in all seriousness the only meaning in life, is the meaning you give it.

To take this to a new Existentialist (and nihilist) height, humans attach meaning to their own lives, it is not there to begin with. This meaning is created in order to prevent individuals from going insane from the lack of direction.

The advent of Post Modernism brought with it a sudden null for human meaning. Faith in religion was shattered for many, as was faith in a national purpose which they could aspire to even at their own detriment. In short, the meaning was lost. They could still procreate for the species' continuation but the reason for wishing humanity to continue had had holes poked into it.

But life itself, no, there is no universal purpose
The only meaning of life that is universal for all mankind is this:
-The meaning of life is to find a partner and produce offspring, in order to assure the survival of the human race.

That's the only true "meaning" i can think of, but everyone has different values in life, some have it as their purpose to get rich and famous, others to live a selfless life, others to adventure around the world etc... the list goes on, its a very personal question this.

For me, its about finding a partner that i love and that loves me and spend my days improving myself as a person, both physically and mentally, so far i've only worked on the mental part (im lazy), but as soon as i start getting some cash flowing ill start to eat healthier and exercise more.
point well taken =]

But if not having meaning in our life drives us to insanity, which often puts a damper on reproduction and survival, than it would appear that a meaningless life is self-defeating, and therefore incredibly unlikely, in my mind at least.

The meaning of life: Evolve, populate, rule. That simple. Once you have nowhere to populate and nothing to rule, you go somewhere else! (and repeat)

:D

Insane people still reproduce.
