I carry a briefcase, it's the ancient solution to men needing to carry stuff but not wanting purses.

That Samsonite sure does make a nice purse.

No, but not for any social reasons. A Purse is simply to small. I use a backpack. As in, right now, as I type this, I'm going through my backpack that is basically a man purse, looking for my chapstick.

i think this topic should be, "ladies, do you ever wish your pants had pockets big enough to carry ANYTHING?"

the reason womyn have to carry a purse is because somewhere along the line, it was decided that the pockets of girls pants had to be so small and tight, that they might as well be sewn shut. also, ive seen my ex girlfriends purses. you ever have a few small things in your pocket and have trouble fishing out what you need? multiply that by 100. my last girlfriend would have to fish around her purse for like 10 minutes, any time she wanted to find anything

if you want to carry a lot of shit with you, why not just wear a backpack?

Cargo pants.

That and I don't usually carry enough to merit using anything else.

I really don't carry that much stuff around with me, but I don't like having a lot of stuff in my pockets so I can understand the feeling I guess. That's why I usually wear pants with cargo pocket and organize myself thusly: left cargo: wallet, right cargo: cell phone, right pocket: keys. I am more than happy with that layout.

Edit: damn ninja'd by less than a minute

Haha, this is what I was coming in to say. Yes, cargo pants and leather trench coats carry everything I need and that is only using an eighth of there maximum capacity. I don't even use 3 of the pockets!

I have a backpack. If I need to haul something I use it. If I don't need to haul anything heavier than money, I have a pocket and a wallet.

Not really, all I ever have on me at any given moment are my cell phone and my wallet so I don't need one. Also, I imagine that stealing a purse would be way easier than picking someones pocket.

No, I have pockets. When I leave home all I need is my phone, wallet, and keys. Every girl's purse I've ever seen was a cluttered mess. And anytime a girl asked me to grab something from her purse (mom, girlfriend, etc) I'd find myself searching through so many useless things.

Now, I understand that there are somethings that girls need or want to carry with them, like make up. However, I have no need to carry a large amount of materials with me. If I ever need to carry a lot, I would probably be better off with a backpack or a suitcase, which I think is self explanatory.

I voted no, but really it should be socially acceptable to do whatever the fuck you want, its your life, not the life of anyone around you. If you want to carry a sack of your belongings around with you go ahead.

As for me, theres not much need, wallet in one pocket, keys in another, mp3 in coat pocket, school supplies in a backpack, boom good to go.

I can honestly say I haven't. And I don't think that's because most people would find that rather gay. I'm confident about my sexual orientation, and don't give a flying rats ass about what hatters think. But I just never thought it would come in handy.

Yes, actually - I like having a single place to store my stuff and I don't like having to leave my things in places they could be taken. However, having a laptop case has largely alleviated this problem for me.

Honestly the thought has never crossed my mind before, but I am going to have to say no. They seem too feminine and aren't much of a convenience to me. I will stick with pockets and backpacks.
