Men of the escapist do you subscribe to the 5 year old mentality? Women what is your opinion? - do you feel men are too childish or is that one of our pros? - are you a 6 year old deep down there?

Personally I like to act like a 5 year old whenever I am out with my friends to liven the mood - plus as a non-drinker its funny asking my friends the "why" question to anything they say or do :p once we were walking along the Thames and I said why randomly and one of my m8s said "because I can", before jumping in the Thames - funny till we and by we I mean sober me had to go get him..... (other ba***rds sat on the bench laughing)....

Edit: for those who requested it.

What it is to subscribe to the 5 year old mentality
(you need a minimum of one of the things in this list to subscribe):

-Be childish on occasion,
-Not always have a rowing oar up your ass,
-Able to laugh at yourself,
-Not care about others opinions of your interest,
-Are one of 'us' who feel we own the Pokemon/Digimon/dragon ball Z generation and that although its been years and Pokemon just gets better graphics each time we pump money in.
-This is not 24/7 but I mean like it happens on occasion,
-SANTA IS REAL I will EAT anyone who says otherwise!
-The Escapist is awesome cause of the ppl on it,
-Dragons are Epic - think of it portable marshmallow heater!,
-Sparkly! meeeess wantss itss,
-Lego - note this is the best creation ever! since.....water....,
-PIRATES areeeeeee awesome (sorry just couldn't stop :p),
-Cmon we all know that if you could make people, everyone you see on the street knows the song lyrics and voice cues of the Lion King Script, and could perform a musical in the street,
-Find it funny when I tell you a m8 of mine took another of his m8s onto the street, got a dog collar and a cane and was singing "one boy, boy for sale",
-Water slides -WHeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,
-Love asking "why",
-Like Comics or Manga,
-Say on occasion, just cause you can, "To the Batmobile!",
-Occasionally read a really childish book,
-Finish sentences with songs, e.g. "how do you feel about film? I do not like them in a box.
I did not like them with a fox. I did not like them in a house. I did not like them with a mouse. I did not like them here or there.I did not like them anywhere. I did not like green eggs and ham. I did not like them, Sam I am.",
-watching Saturday Morning Cartoons
-.........

Also please post what you think needs to be added to the list!

I was wondering what you meant...
No. I have purged myself of much that there was in common with that.
I owe it to this one to maximize the good.
There is no time for a '5 year old mentality' in this one.

I'm a playful person, but in no way do I act like a 5 year old.
I have no idea what else to say... Can you explain in more detail what it is to "act like a 5 year old"?

Edit: Never mind. I'm serious when it's necessary (not that often).

"Getting older is compulsory, growing up is optional"- I forget.

I'm very, very childish, especially when I'm drunk.

I think everyone's entitled to acting like a kid sometimes, if everyone was serious all the time the world would be a very boring place.

He jumped into the Thames! I don't know where you are but where I lived I went swimming in there in the summer and came out sticky.

If you can be in there for 2 hours, all power to you. After the sticky incident I stuck to only swimming in pools/on holiday. I did build a raft to sail on the Thames though, it failed miserably for but for a brief moment I was parent of a hearty pirate crew. When you row, you should deffo wear pirate hats.
