My opinion, is that I have no desire to play it again. I'm kinda tempted by Guild Wars Two as I am hearing good things...

Oh, but, anyway, if you WANT to play it, buy it, and play it. Simple as that. What do you want to do?

But could they really have changed mages that much? I mean, I recall Arcane in Cata was so bloody easy. Three buttons and you could pull 10K DPs without a strain on your mana regardless of the situation, and even with less than stellar gear.
New spells and reworked mechanics for Magi. Each spec has a remotely unique mechanic to work with. Arcane has a charge system and Fire has a build up crit system, worked from Hotstreak. I can't go indepth, as I only got my mage to 83 and even then only tried Fire. But all classes have more unique specializations nowadays. Warlocks have the most interesting changes in my opinion. Enough to be game altering for them. Warriors also have been drastically changed.

Mana has also been reworked and is more static now. AKA Everyone have the same amount of mana at a given level (Dependant on spec and class). This is mostly a problem for healers, where if a group keeps taking a lot of damage the healer can and will run out of mana, this only being mitigated by high spirit. I can imagine this being a problem for Arcane magi due to their high spell costs? That's not a fact, that's a guess though.

Haha yep, piracy is totally viable. If you're interested, there's a free 14 day trial on Eve's website. A player can invite you to a 21 day trial too.

Personally, it doesn't look all that bad to me, not when compared to some of the other patches and expansions that WoW has faced over the years. I feel that there has been a lot of unwarranted community backlash over the whole pandas thing, which is... kind of weird to me.

I mean, complaining about thematic problems is not really a universal problem, and the community has been asking for the race of the Pandaren to be reintroduced to Warcraft ever since they were left out of vanilla. Seriously, there was at least one forum post about it every day for about half a decade.

Plus, personally, Y'know, pandas. I play a Panda now. Pandas are cool.

Other than that, the new content looks better than the endgame of cata, pet battles look fun, the zones are interesting and varied, and the leveling is better than ever.

If I had to give a score, 8/10

Why would you? If you like story telling SWTOR is a better game. If you like a new combat system then Tera would be better. If you like PVP then there is GW2 and a newer questing system. If you miss the combat then there is D&D online or LoTR online. Spare the social aspect witch might be enough I don't know how many friends do you have in the game? For Gameplay and story reasons I can't think of a good reason, for social reasons if you have a lot of friends yeah go back.
One possibility about why someone would want to return to WoW is that it remains a good all around MMO. It's story isn't as good as TOR, but it has better leveling and end-game. It's combat isn't as good as TERAs, but its got a far superior questing system, being far less grindy. While its combat is also somewhat inferior to LoTR and D&D, its end-game still remains the most polished of the MMOs, although it is not exactly universally liked.

WoW has had half a decade to get things to a reasonable quality,I would certainly hope that it is reasonable, and it has some great points. Finally, y'know, there is no real reason that you can only like one MMO.

I love how there are exactly three kinds of people when it comes to this whole Mists of Pandaria thing:

Person 1: Pandaria...cool.

Person 2: lolpandas.

Person 3: lolWoW.

ITT people who have never played WoW tell you how awesome and better they are for never playing it, and how they know it's bad without playing it.

Get somebody's opinion who has been playing WoW for a while, and who liked WoW for the same reasons you did, and see if THEY like MoP, not this crowd of people who enjoy to hate on popular games.

IMO this expansion is way better than WotLK/Cata already, and my favourite time in WoW was The Burning Crusade. The questing areas look absolutely stunning, even with WoW's terrible graphics, they've done such a good job on the new continent. Classes are that bit more fluid to play with the new talents etc. and I've just been having way more fun with this expansion so far than I ever did with WotLK/Cata.

Keep in mind raids aren't out though so if you're playing for end game (which most people will be) then we have no idea how good this expansion is just yet :p

Also to the people yelling guild wars 2:
END GAME CONTENT.

Dude, dude, you can totes go do lowbie zones, because your level gets scaled down! Endgame begins at level 1!

I was once one of them. A classmate asked me what I thought of this WoW game. I told him it was a kids' game, and that he shouldn't bother. Then due to a twist of fate I ended up trying the game for myself. Moral of the story, don't listen to them.

W-where did Blizzard even come with this?

In 2002 when they released Warcraft 3.
That argument has been defuted several times, but this time I'm actually bothered to look up my response to this: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.385284-Blizzard-Reveals-Mists-of-Pandaria-Cinematic-Trailer?page=2#15312529

In fact, (this is not directed to you, by the way) I love how people defend Blizzard so much they're defending the Pandarens by claiming "they were a large part of Warcraft 3", a game they never played.
I'm not silly enough to deny that there's a definite influence there; but at the end of the day, the pandaren at least existed and weren't a complete tack-on.

On the other hand, I will also point out something a lot of people seem to forget:

Kung-Fu Panda was awesome. :p

Where were the Pandaren in Warcraft 3? I honestly don't remember ever seeing them and warcraft 3 was one of my favourite games at the time.

So here it is: I wasn't really interested by WoW anymore(having played TOR for a while and thinking that I'd never get past the lack of voice-over and decisions in WoW).

Now though, I've seen some stuff and I kind of want to start playing again, especially with the expansion that would allow me to "start anew" on my main.

I haven't played the beta but from what I've seen, it looks like it's a nice expansion (and I did try the new mage gameplay for a bit on a friend's account and decided it was awesome).

So, should I or should I not pay for my subscription again?
DONT DO IT!

I speak as an old hand. WoW has been going down hill since the death of the Lich King. Arthas was the last big bad that had any bite, the last character I gave a damn about.

WoW steals time, it eats your life. I mean, sure, it is seductively cheap at 10 pounds a month but it adds up.

If I could take back my 70-80 days /played (On the two mains I cared about, lets ignore all of my alts and other level capped characters or that figure will just make me cry) I would. Think of all the better things you could do with your time. I mean, for the cash investmennt I spent on WoW I could have bought a decent piano and be concert grade by now. Or just about anything.

WoW is evil. It is an evil timesink that steals your money and slowly drains out your soul. Don't do it! The jury is out!

Never let it get its vile grip on you again!

They're creeps in The Frozen Throne. Also, there's the Founding of Durotar bonus campaign, where Chen Stormstout is one of the playable characters.

You should try it, Scroll of Resurrection.
See, when it comes to WoW it's a pickle...You can't ask a fan, because every expansion is more awesome than the last when they speak of it in public(in guildchat etc the tone is very different.) and then you have people like me who quit it because...Fuck it felt stale, stupid and cliche and not worthy of a 100 000 players, much less millions of them.
So best bet, try it.

On a sidenote: GW2 is not that awesome, there's better MMO's, but it's free.

Its good but I'm still keeping TOR as my main MMO. I've barely played Pandaria so far though cos there's massive server queues all day.

For what it's worth. I'm really rather enjoying the game.

To be honest, I was skeptical when I found out about this expansion. Having offed their last canonical supervillain with Deathwing it seemed like a step back to build an entire expansion around the Pandaren.

And yeah, the story so far is much smaller in scale, focusing primarily on the effects of the Alliance/Horde conflict as it spills over into a heretofore untouched and ostensibly peaceful land.

If you're the type of person who can overlook the obvious hyperbole of "Derp... Kung Fu Panda...derp Poke'mon." And enjoy the game for what it is I don't see any reason not to check it out.

Get Guild Wars 2 (if you have the computer for it). No sub fee and the game is designed very well.
