Hi Guys,

Im a bit of a collector of sorts; movie memorabilia, gaming memorabilia, artwork etc...

I was looking at some of the limited edition controllers (Xbox360) that come out with games (COD, GOW, Halo and so on) and was thinking that it would be cool to place these into some of big deep frame for my man-cave (attic). This then led me to looking at getting a custom made controller... I even came across one made out of teak!..But the US$900 was a little high for my liking.

But this then brought my attention to modded controllers. Apart from the old Mega-Drive rapid shot controllers, I wasnt actually aware that these really still existed in any worthwhile shape and form. But looking at them, they come loaded with game-specific modes which allows you to shoot faster, reload quicker and also reduce recoil... I know it is cheating somewhat, but has anyone used these mods, and are they worthwhile?

Would love to hear your thoughts and comments, as while I have decided to get a customised controller, I am unsure whether to include mods in this.

Thanks Guys!

It's not 'cheating somewhat', it's cheating full stop. Out-playing and out-thinking someone are the great joys of online play, but using mods, hacks, cheats and glitches renders any 'victory' totally worthless as the player has done little to nothing to deserve it. Morally there is no difference between using a modded controller and using an aim-bot.

Look fella, how you play your games is up to you, so if you want a modded controller no-one's opinion other than yours should influence your decision. But if you play online, then you're not just playing your game, you're playing the game of everyone else in the lobby - and you'd be ruining all of their games by using one of those damn things.

Hi Mate,

Sorry to be slow to reply, never noticed this comment when it first came up. Your comment about "not just playing your game, but everyone elses" is bang on! I am happy to say I didnt opt for a modded controller. Instead I got a customised one (all piano white, including lights), but without any mods.

So, as you say, may the best man/woman win!

Good reply!
