infinity ward twitter makes it sound like the game is done and this is Activision's doing.
I know our PC players are anxious for official word. I am as well. I will let you know as soon as I do. I promise. When I left, it was fine.

When I read the title I almost had a stroke. Yet another reason I'm glad I'm not a PC gamer.

Beauty. I hope they have a good reason. If it's nothing, I can only assume it's one of those tactics that try to stop piracy that don't actually hurt pirates, just the consumer.

also, this:

http://translate.google.ca/translate?hl=en&sl=nl&u=http://tweakers.net/nieuws/62881/pc-versie-modern-warfare-2-loopt-twee-weken-vertraging-op.html&ei=bvzMSpKoH4yIsgPz2tG3Dg&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://tweakers.net/nieuws/62881/pc-versie-modern-warfare-2-loopt-twee-weken-vertraging-op.html%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:eek:fficial%26hs%3DEkd

Need official word from Activision as to whether it's actually true or not, otherwise I'm actually really pissed at this. I might not be so pissed if my PS3 didn't get stolen from my house, but really. 2 weeks? Give the consumer a break for once, you idiots. You do no damage to pirates at all with this action, and as far as I see it, encourage piracy.

The CEO of Activision is a fucking moron. Not only is he supposedly anti-videogames or something like that, he's a dumbass as well. This isn't going to delay piracy, this will only ENCOURAGE it. There is no reason for this at all. But it is amusing watching all the Xbox fanboys gloat.

And this kids, is why I hate console gamers sometimes. A large number of them are jocks who play a round of Halo or Gears, and start commanding the industry as if everyone who supported it previously was just guessing before. When FO3 DLC was delayed for PS3, I did not gloat, I was just as upset as my PS3 brothers. Or when BIoshock was delayed. Or when the L4D DLC had to be paid for on Xbox for crash course.
Why? Two reasons.
1. I am not a fanboy dipshit.
2. I have friends with every console, or own one myself, and therefore, I personally know someone who suffers from things like this.
Further salt in the wound, besides the afforementioned morons who say "YAY!!1!!1 XBAWX WINS THEN!!1!1!", is the fact that many delays are for piracy purposes. I am against any piracy, and the pirates don't even stop pirating. They jus tdo it more.
This news makes me dissapoint, because I see all the fanboys gloating like faggots, and because it shows IW forgot about the PC demographic that has supported them since CoD1.
Good going fuckheads, enjoyed Halo 12547473.

i saw the title in the sidebar and thought noooooooooo. but after closer inspection of the content i am relieved. ive pre ordered it for my console (360 if you must know) and im not really that fussed about it being delayed on the pc.

im not a console fanboy, my PC will run MWII with ease (ATI 4870x2 GPU), but i think if they use that time to enrich the experience for the PC users, then the delay is worth it. IW will more than likely release a patch for the game within the first week of it console launch to iron out cracks that shouldnt be there in the first place. so PC gamers of MWII, I ENVY YOU

I have enough trouble wanting to support Activision as it is, but this is honestly a kick in the balls. This won't do anything to pirates at all, and frankly, if this news is true and there's no real reason for it (and I don't mean Bobby's reason, I mean IW's reason) I hope it becomes widely pirated.

If only companies had the sense to realise that things like this don't help, and have the opposite effect.

But even so, this article may not even be true, and I hope to god it isn't. But we'll see.

Yeah, but now we miss out on all the awesomeness of the singleplayer campaign, while all our friends talk about it. I'd rather there be a couple of minor problems with the game and still be able to play it (because let's face it, it's not going to be a gamebreaker) then have to wait two more weeks for something I've been waiting for for so long. It's like your parents saying they're delaying Christmas two weeks because of robbers.

What's so bad about a delay? There's MUCH worse things that can happen to a particular version of a game.

Actually, I was hoping that the delay would also be for consoles. I'm having trouble getting the money together for the my reserved Veteran Edition...

A delays not bad when it's actually necessary. But when it's not, then it's aggravating and unnecessary.

Also, referring to fourzerotwo's recent twitter:
http://twitter.com/FourZeroTwo

"I know our PC players are anxious for official word. I am as well. I will let you know as soon as I do. I promise. When I left, it was fine."

This makes it seem like it's an unnecessary thing. And sounds like Activisions rampant douchebaggery screwing me, the consumer over in a vague and retarded attempt to stop something they won't stop at all. If it has anything to do with anti-piracy measures, I'm pissed at this. This won't hurt pirates at all, in any way and won't stop them. You might slow them down, but at what cost?
