HURR AC30 KILLSTREAKS LAWL

33-0 in a TDM sitting in a corner with a laptop controlling a fucking helicopter the first time I played the game.

The multiplayer is horrifically atrociously imbalanced, but hey, I had a good time. Some of the other kids who ragequit didn't. It's a bit too luck-based for me, but I think I'll get around to the single-player if I have time. That's what I get for just playing the game for ~20 minutes with the computer club at my school.

The Single Player Campaign is just terrible. The story makes absolutely no sense and there's no real reason for several of the events that occur, it felt like they were just trying to shoehorn it in because they thought it was cool.

The Multi-player for PC is alright, it's just annoying that the player cap is so small and if you get a bad host, the game is gonna be terrible.

I enjoyed it. I thought the single campaign was too short, but some of the action sequences made up for that. Short but sweet; just don't think too hard about the story. The multiplayer is more addictive than CoD:4. An all round enjoyable game in my opinion.

Playing multiplayer, I thought it was good. Not great, just good.

Then I started using the riot shield. That is fun.

The player cap? Really? The game is filled with camping, grenades, deathstreaks, airstrikes, sentry guns and other crap. More players means even more of that. 9 vs. 9 is for your own good; the game will be unplayable without it.

I quite like it. The people that say is has a short singleplayer experience are just wrong, yes I'm looking at you spm1138. The spec ops mode is a great addition, with a great variety of challenging and not-so-challenging levels!

It's good, very cinematic and replay-able.
Spec-Ops is a welcome addition too, great for Co-Op :D

To be honest though, I think it got extremely lucky with all that negative publicity concerning Dedicated Servers//Airport Massacre. Those 2 reasons probably account for half to three quarters of the blistering sales figures.

No it's true. It's only 4 hours long. That said, it's a CoD game; it was made for multiplayer. What you do get in the single-player is great.

it did nothing new but it did something old very well
That's the point. I liked the original, so I want the sequel to be more of it, but better.

That's what MW2 is.

It's superb. I usually can't stand FPS war games, but this, I love. The only criticism I have for it is that I want more. I like the continuing story, and the themes of the game, and I like that they don't dumb anything down; the game challenges you both ethically and in skill.

Finished it in 5 hours, way too short. I found myself playing to get to the next setpiece and found the gunplay itself lacking. Overall it seemed pretty average, although the spec ops and multiplayer was good.
