Poll: Modern Warfare 3?

I really have no idea where they are going to go with it, but then again I didn't know where they were going after cod4.

There will be a Modern Warfare 3, unless Infinity Ward split from Activision somehow. But we won't be seeing it until next year - this is the year of Treyarch after all.

So long as the two fired executives don't win the corporate battle for rights to Modern Warfare, it will probably be released (well, even if they did it would probably be released, but not published by Activision).

It a pretty safe bet to say they are making MW3, the 2nd one made a ton of cash for activision so knowing them they will at least want 1 or 2 more installments before they put it on hold.

I hope not; MW2 was a massive step in the wrong direction that IW don't seem to care about so any more games I feel would have a massive lapse in quality once more. There probably will be though because of how well it sells but I won't buy it.

Yes, there will be a new MW.

Yes, it will still be ridiculously over the top in its story and its set-pieces will still be 'Baysplosions', to use the 'kewl' term here.

And yes, I still won't care about the story and what have you.
For it entertains me and that is all I want from my games. That plus the occasional story and atmosphere but I've got FF XIII for the story and Bioshock 1 + 2 for the atmosphere.

Thats because CoD4 was a standalone story line.

MW2 had such a shitty storyline because they could not waste time to think of a storyline worth doing. Instead they make it formulaic.

So we'll see a third real shitty one.
