In fallout 3 i told the junkie i would help her then blasted her and took the rest of her money. Every once in awhile i would just waste everybody in big town.

I have no problem with a morality system because it lets players identify with the main character even more AND with the introduction of the "middle ground" in morality choices nowadays that "immersion" that the player gets whilst making a choice is increased even more.
This.

I want to have a loose morality system, where there isn't a cheesy meter across the screen telling me whether I'm a lovey-dovey-kitten-hugger or demon-spawn. I want one where you can make a moral choice where some good dudes will hate you for it, and where some will think you "did what had to be done" or whatever. I think that having all the characters have mixed opinions based on their individual personalities would be the best morality system ever.

It looks like the overall graph curve now is leaning more or less toward good with some allowances for the occasional bad act.

So are we all mostly good people who make occasional bad choices? Or are we all bad people who prefer to use video games as our outlet to be good citizens without worrying about society thinking we're weak?
