None of the above.
The most annoying NPC in a computer game has to be Connor from Dragon Age. His voice was so whiny and his mother was just as much an irritant. I took great pleasure in ***** slapping her and then slaying Connor-- I mean, the demon.
I'd have to say his mum is more annoying, at least with Connor you don't see him that much. His mother on the other hand is annoying as fuck. First time I meet her she's like, "SHUT THE FUCK UP I AM A QUEEN AND SO PERFECT AND YOU'RE NOT TRUST ME YOU FOOL" then when you encounter her again she's like, "Oh...hey, my kid's the demon...don't kill him though" and then you have to either a) listen to her ***** and moan about killing her kid when in this universe it is very well known the risks in having a mage grow up without any guidance so it's entirely her fault. b) Go back to the Circle, talk to the First Enchanter, go back to the castle, choose a mage (if you didn't play a mage, Warrior FTW), run through the same landscape 3-4 times, kill an annoying Demon. c)Just straight up kill her and do part 'b' without the ridiculous amount of travel.

Other characters that deserve special mention:
The Bosmer shop keeper in Whiterun that sells bows and shit, I made the mistake of killing his brother and getting seen doing so (That quest where you gotta collect Elven blood), so now every time I'm greeted he calls me an asshole, which I probably deserve, but it's still annoying.

Shao Kahn, the son of a ***** is so god damned over powered, has some cheap ass attacks, and slows the pace of the game down. I get that he's supposed to be a tough boss, and it is EXTREMELY satisfying when you do beat him, but fuck man, he's such a cheap ****.

Claptrap, you're not funny, and the fact that you're pushed in our face more in Borderlands 2 made me enjoy the game less. You were fine in Bordelands 1, you were just an NPC at the start of the game who didn't really wander any further than Fyrestone, but then Borderlands 2 came around, and you were fucking everywhere. He spoke over the ECHO recording that you receive at the start (he had been quiet for a good amount of time, and then 3 seconds after clicking the ECHO log he's like,"LISTEN TO ME! LISTEN! LISTEN! LIIIIIIISSSSSTENNNNNN!!!!!". And he just keeps being relevant...and I keep hating him.

Maven Black Briar.

Why you couldn't kill her I have no idea. Development punt.
You can't kill her because she's quest relevant, and appears to stay that way even when you've completed quests she's relevant to.

OT: For me, it's Lyra from Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver. Her design really irked me, she came off as a bit too peppy, and she's a lying *****. YOUR MARILL NEVER EVOLVED!!

I don't really want her to die per say, but I'd rather she never replaced Crystal/Kris. So, by wishing her to never exist, I suppose that counts.

Out of those options, definitely the priest. I will either kill him myself or use console and say he had a heart attack(I like a little roleplay so yeah).

Now, out of all of the games I have played, wow, it is still the priest, he is the only character I go out of my way to kill. I don't care about the adoring fan. I will kill beggars and such in AC, but they are not as annoying as that fucking priest, ugh.

Captcha: That's hot, I think this captcha has been spying on me, my friend says that way to much.

No, Nazeem, I'm just the Thane of Whiterun, the most powerful person in the hold, personal buds with the Jarl, he who repelled the Stormcloak attack on the city and civil war in general, Archmage of the Collage of Winterhold, slayer of Alduin the Firstborn of Akatosh, savior of this iteration of reality and master of the many forms of magic. I'm certainly not likely to get up to the Cloud District very often, not like you! You're important! Owner of a whole farm, wow, what can I do to compare?

Oh! I know! How about I stab you in the face, trap your soul in the Black Star (yes, I know, not terribly impressive to someone of your stature that I warped the very nature of a Daedric artifact, but still), bind your soul into a ring and throw it in the ocean. That way, you'll never have to deal with pathetic plebians such as myself. No, don't object! You're too modest!

I insist.

Sticky from Fallout 3 not on the list? Preposterous.
THIS GUY.

You know how absolutely fucking annoying the children in Little Lamplight in Fallout 3 are and how people invented mods just so you can murder those smug little twerps? Yeah, put that exact same level of bratty annoyance in an adult body with a whiny voice.

He was designed to piss you off and he succeeds.

The beggers from Assassin's Creed? Nope.

The Minstrels. They were always much more proficient at getting in your way then beggers, and they were EVERYWHERE!

Turn a corner 3 minstrels!

Cross a square 5 minstrels!

Running from the borgia and fall off a building? A minstrel is there to get in your way and stop you long enough for the guards to catch up!

Entering any city in AC2 was pretty much embarking in a journey of wading through minstrels!

The templars and borgia were just patsies, minstrels were the true bad guys of Assassin's Creed!

Noober from baldurs gate 1. Really this guy is the most annoying of all. Plus if you kill him there used to be doom guards that spawned so you ended up getting owned.

edit; I think the patches fixed this thing with the doom guards

http://baldursgate.wikia.com/wiki/Tolerating_Noober

Apparently he approaches you 32 times as well and you get 400xp if you tolerate his annoying interruptions.
Damnit thrall!

I was so looking forward to posting that....
Me too. I just have him follow me to the edge of town and kill him. IIRC it doesn't even lower your reputation.

The Assassins Creed examples are gameplay mechanics so I can't exactly fault them. The priest of Talos I have seen used as a soundboard to harass some fundie religious hotline so he'll always have a special place in my heart. I haven't played STALKER in so long I can't even remember that guy. The Adoring Fan is designed to be annoying so I can't fault him for doing his job.

Process of elimination goes to Nazeem - he fills no function at all beyond just being an upper-class snob who insults you directly. Sort of reminds me of the Yarl's kid who calls you a bootlicker when you were SUMMONED to save the city from DRAGONS. Fuck that kid.

"I work for Belethor, at the general goods store."

Bloody hell man, learn to say something else.

Really? No poll selection or mention of the NPC Pawns from Dragon's Dogma?

Mage: sees cyclops, rushes to its feet to attack
Warriors that hit exploding barrels as you walk by them
The constant, repetitive droning of the same five-word phrases over and over

Well, I would pick the AC1 pushy guys, but seeing as I kill them anyways, they don't need to die anymore. As such, I choose Adoring Fan.

Especially if Belethor dies in a vampire raid. Surely if he works for Belethor and Belethor dies then he should run the shop.

One of the (many) upsides of Morrowind: you could kill absolutely anyone after they had outlived their usefulness. If you were up to the challenge.

I actually kind of like the "Annoying NPCs". Yes they're annoying, but they add character/charm to the world.

To be honest, I never really had any animosity toward NPCs in MMOs or open world RPGs. Okay, I did kinda want to kill Mickey in Kingdom Hearts because I never liked his character. I'm going with the NPC that annoys me most in general.

Wheatley can go die in a fire. I hate how he never shuts up & how he emotes & feels even though he's just metal & circuits.

No Harden Simms either? Maybe that's just how I feel for spending so much time in Megaton.

"My Dad says I shouldn't talk to strangers."
Then QUIT. TALKING. TO. ME!!!

I think game developers must really hate children, they always seem to be the most annoying characters. Its not like they were trying to make them cute or immature and failed, they just come across as short pricks with tiny voices. I believe MacCready and Princess were horrible children who grew up to become horrible fully grown degenerate human beings. Compared to those two even Sticky didn't seem so bad to me.

But as for annoying adult NPC's who must die (perhaps for the sake of the story), I would have to agree with Tingle.
