Question to Non-Britons: To anyone who says "British accent" as their prefered accent, which British accent do you mean? Do you mean the sterotypical British accent aka- Generic Southern accent?
I'm really not sure what accent i find "most attractive". I do know someone is from Malayisa, her family being decendants of British colonists. So i would suppose she has a "colonial accent". Altough she refers to it as "international English". It sounds quite American, altough not quite American there is a slight difference between the two but what that difference is i can not quite pinpoint. Perhaps it's halfway between a generic British and American accent. I quite like some American accent's, but more of the nortern variety. American accents can sound quite casual and relaxed which is quite nice to listen to over multiplayer gaming, however i think the further south you go, the American accent starts to sound more whiny and less "intelligent" and in general, annoying. Which is the stark opposite to London accent's, which sound very posh, artitulate and intelligent. Kate Beckinsale in Underworld has a London accent. (Which makes no sense whatsoever considering her character doesn't come from London...o.0) The general drawback however is that London accents can sound condsending and arrogant.
In short, i have no idea which accent sounds most attractive, i myself have a general Northernish accent with a hint of scouse accent. I could however talk at length about what i think other accents sound like.
