Poll: Most disliked video game genre?

I'm sure that we have all seen at least one favorite game, least favorite game favorite game genre forum but have we yet seen a least favorite game genre forum? Well some of you probably have but that's not the point. I'm sorry I couldn't fit in more RPG genres but there's a poll limit. My least favorite game genre would have to be Fighters and not because the games are all bad but when you play multiplayer alot of people are just going to use the same over powerd attack again and again.

Fighters. I've just never understood the appeal of being able to lose to someone far less skilled than you who just mashed the right buttons for once.

I don't "hate" any genres. But i do dislike RPGs for some reason. Can't say anything about fighters because i've never ever played a single one.

Consider changing the thread's title to "Most disliked video game genre". Edit your opening post, and change the title from there.

3rd person action games in the vein of Devil May Cry. It seems like when that game out all I see anymore are games with lots of blood, counting combos, and telling you how STYLISH YOU ARE.

If sports games were on there I'd have a clear un-favourite. But from the list I'd choose fighters.

Because sports aren't video games. If your sitting on the couch with a controller in your hands controling someone else and having them do the sport for you then that's not a sport.

It is a genre. It is just as valid as controlling as a rpg. If I am sitting there with a controller in my hand I am not exactly role playing am I?

I don't think diffrent locations where the game was made are diffrent genres but I should have put turn base RPG and real time RPG and maybe MMORPG

What kind of world is this where the community simply submits to being forced to play at 65 FoV, with a 5 second host migration, and your fastest movement is a sprint key you can't even shoot during...?

Bring back an old-school UT, support Quake Live, I'm tired of games not having dodge moves or strafe-jumping or anything to get away from that grenade aside from the "throw it back" button.

Also, any game that includes "You were killed by a grenade. Watch out for the grenade danger indicator."

I personally like awesomeness meters a-la DDR/GH/DMC.

I think they're ironically comical.

Also, MMORPG isn't on your list, and I think that'd get a lot of votes.

True but the meaning of the words Role playing game have changed and now to people mean a game where you can level up and random loot drops.
