The recent news and over all quality of publsher has motivated me to ask a question.

Who is the most evil (Publisher). Now before most of you go rushing to vote EA, remember that they may not be the most evil; they are the most talked about.

Here are some examples.

Edit thank you LITE992 for more detaled info.

Ubisoft:
cheap PC ports
delaying releases on PC while still releasing cheap ports
always on DRM.

Activision:
Sueing Double Fine
Lack of originality, creativity or innovation (CoD and Guitar Hero)
Milking of franchises (same games)
Ditching a franchise once it stops making money due to the first reasons (Guitar Hero)
Relying on a single franchise for income (CoD)

EA:
Just in general being giant douchbags.
DRM
Online Passes
Origin

Now please note that these are only a few examples and they are all guilty of something. And im sure there are many Many more.

Wow, there was recently a thread just like this...with many other options in the poll as well.

Did we really need another one?

And btw thinking of publishers as good or evil is really naive. They are here to make money...welcome to capitalism.
Blame the consumers for buying their crap and encouraging them to act as they do.

Corporations (gaming or otherwise) are amoral, not immoral. They are incapable of being evil (or good) because they are artificial entities with one thing in mind: maximizing profit for their shareholders. Anything they do involving their customers or public opinion still involves the bottom line: money.

I've never played a Ubisoft game, so I can't provide an opinion on them. It's a tough one for me to decide between Activision and EA.
Activision:
Lack of originality, creativity or innovation (CoD and Guitar Hero)
Milking of franchises (same games)
Ditching a franchise once it stops making money due to the first reasons (Guitar Hero)
Relying on a single franchise for income (CoD)

EA:
DRM
Online Passes
Origin (worst idea ever, won't let me play BF3 because I don't meet some arbitrary requirements they never tell me, and I pass the system requirements)

Since I play more games from EA, I'm gonna choose them. I stopped buying Activision's games a long time ago.

I swear we had this thread last week. This one just seems to have fewer options but still poses the same flawed argument...

OT: I'm not going to vote because I don't like any of them for some of their practices. How ever I do like some of the games they create and I was happy to part with my money to buy the right to play some of their product.

They're all Evil, but I voted for Activision because they stole a bunch of money from the people who made CoD4.
