All science related subjects have some importance for those who plan to study it, and in Norway you don't have to go that deep into it if you don't plan to, so those are fine. Even though math, biology, chemistry and physics are hard, they can also be enjoyed if you get into it.
German was a terrible subject and I swear to that. I hated it so much, but it does have some importance if you plan to work in tourism or finances, also Germans seem to like it if you talk to them in German no matter if it's broken and your grammar's far off what's right.
I enjoyed English quite much, so that's no problem.
History is really boring and I can't see much use in it, but it's OK if you put your mind to it.
Geography is about the most pointless and boring thing (I guess I can blame my teachers for talking slowly and not breaking the monotony with anything besides asking to switch page), but even that doesn't win.
Social anthropology is a lot like history unlike it leaves room for more speculation and you can make your own theories so it can be both interesting and entertaining (here I guess I can blame my fun teacher for that opinion).
Gym is awesome, I get to show off my stamina and strength despite that I appear to be a puny, lazy, asthmatic (I do have asthma btw) gamer.
My top of the list goes to my root language (Norwegian). We are taught about literature from 600-2000 and the politics about our language and the battles to have our own language. The fierce battles so we wouldn't speak Danish (any language researcher says Danish and Norwegian are the same language). It seems utterly pointless, but it gets worse. We have to learn to read Norse (the language the Vikings used, luckily we no longer have to know how to write it. It gets even worse that we have separated the language in 2 similar languages that we have to learn. 2 kinds of Norwegian languages on less than 5 million people, does it get worse? Yes! When we have to analyze literature and tell what the author was thinking when he wrote the thing. That annoys me. Who knows what he was thinking? The author himself and no-one else unless he himself/herself stated it! What was he thinking when he wrote this book? How the hell do I know? I'm not a mind reader for crying out loud! It can't possibly get more pointless after that, right? Wrong! On the top of my list of hate for the subject comes when we have to analyze a picture. Sometimes a picture says a 1000 words. That's why we shouldn't have to write at least 5000 about the picture! The picture is there to save words! The sad thing is that after all my training with writing about these things I haven't leaned how to write a job application or a résumé. When someone complains about the subject being pointless they always give the same speech about that you need to learn to write properly. I learned to write in 2nd grade (I skipped 1st, I'm not a slow learner), and I probably perfected writing around 11th, and at that time it was more because I was chatting rather than learning it, but I didn't once learn how to write anything I need in life. I learned reports in science, articles in both science and social studies and job applications on a web site!
