Poll: Most overrated game/series ever?

Oh, I voted Final Fantasy just because 13 is a ridiculous number. I mean really? 13 sequels and people are still going from 6 to midnight over the damn thing. Even Halo fan boys would start to be hesitant at 7.

Wow, first off they aren't sequels. They are, (what's the best way to put this?) stories. The only Final Fantasy that had a sequel was X.

Okay, So I hate Halo I really do. Here's what I don't get though. Whenever some yells Halo sucks cause it's mediocre and all been done before I rarely, if at all, see someone bring forth a shooter that is "great" and does everything different and exciting. So I propose a challenge, name one game in the FPS genre that is "great" and does everything different. Can't do it huh?

First up thats a stupid reason to vote it overrated. Of course it DEFINATELY isnt overrated if another title is being added to the long series. It isnt overrated since theyre obviously making it to profit from it, and it isnt as if you have to buy it if you dont like the genre. I dont see FF series being omgzzored much around t'internet like I see Halo being done.

You have got to be kidding me the announcement alone that FF 13 was coming made half the crowd at E3 cream in their pants. I have friends checking the internet everyday trying to find out any more information posting in forums about how great its going to be and slandering those who dont agree.

So what your saying is if 1/2 the crowd in E3 creamed their pants that means they are overrating it? Wouldnt there be a reason for this? if HALF of the crowd at E3 did, you are basically saying that out of ALL these other FF games they STILL love it - that my friend makes it NOT overrated.

As to those friends of yours, who slander those who dont agree, thats fair enough for them, and i wish them all the best in their slandering '_' Also, have you ever thought there was a reason to their obsession with FF13? It couldnt be overrated as much as Halo - it has been 3 games and just as much overration with that series.

Hm...tough to say that a whole series is overrated, IMO. But for the purpose of this thread, I guess I would say the Banjo series. I never saw what was so great about that game. Back then, it felt like a generic 3D platformer staring the Bearinstien Bear's retarded uncle, and these days, it's even worse, now that I've played some absolutely superb 3D platformers in recent years, BK & BJ just don't cut it anymore.

Final Fantasy now, what was ever good about these games? The cliched emo stories? The silly people cutscenes? The endless grinding?

FF7 voted one of the best games of all time

Which makes it overrated IMO. Bad game + many great ratings.
