Poll: Mothers and fathers on Escapist. I need your opinion!

context of request: Basically I'm writing a book and I need a parents insight on this situation.

If you were ever placed in a situation that left you and your children in such a harsh or aggressive environment that required you to fend for yourselves, fight for your survival with no outside help. How would you react? What emotions would you feel in knowing you and your children were in constant danger? Thank you in advance.
