Now off to do Physics homework, then back to playing A Boy and His Blob Wii with a GameCube controller on my Wii U. XD
I know this is a bit off topic, but I'm really curious: how did you get a GameCube controller working on your Wii U? I didn't think they were supposed to be compatible with the Wii U.

I shall PM you the method I use so that I don't derail this. ^.^
Let's just say that it makes things very comfortable.

Wow, THAT'S a weighted question. I wonder which one the OP prefers? Hmmmm...
Not at all, not at all. Who would ever want to vote "Wii" or "keep that shit out of my gaming experience"?

I would assume that since the moment you start up any Wii game the Wii U reverts back to "Wii mode" the Gamecube controllers are able to work in that state...granted I don't know where the plug is...so yeah...I think Neronium was right about the PM.

I am very curious now.

According to what Neronium told me there is an adapter by MayFlash that you can buy that effectively converts the GameCube controller into a Classic Controller, which is compatible with the Wii U. Apparently though using the +, -, and home buttons is a little tricky, but otherwise it works great with Virtual Console games and and Wii games that are compatible with the Classic Controller.

I'm totally gonna check that out. I love my Gamecube controller. It was my childhood. Even better if I can use it on the Wii U. Especially since we never really stock up on multiple controllers.

The question should consider which one is better for its purpose.

The answer is obviously the kinnect, the eye is just an inferior device. Its not about which one is least offensive to you or whatever, Im sure dance games don't appeal to most hardcore gamers but that's not the point. The kinnect does those games the best by default and such games are a case where the motion sensor as a controller is fundamentally a superior input device vs a game controller.

Plus voice controls do have potential in games, and the kinnect has a fancy noise canceling mic system.

I think they're both dumb and I wouldn't want either one.

Also, the playstation eye does have voice commands.
Dang it, Dirty Hipsters... you beat me to it. You said what I wanted to say before I could even say it.

The Wii Waggle, Kinect and PS Eye can all burn together for all I care. I hate motion controls.

The Wii is the best motion gaming platform, and it is cheaper then both.
