I think they're fine. The games I've used them in, some seem to work quite well (Red Steel and Metroid Prime, for example).

They're a step in the right direction. Every console cycle doesn't have to be bleeding edge graphics, it's killing our industry. Do something different. It's not like they're going to ruin everyone's games for god sakes.

I think it's less immersive because you don't have to consciously move your body in the exact position to get the desired effect, the immersion is then broken when it doesn't do what you intended

Yeah, I find myself becoming overly aware that I am playing a game - and playing it badly, at that.

Why didn't they ever make a Point and click adventure game for the Kinect? Granted you can't click....... maybe just point? Hold your hand up at what you think might be a clue for 2 seconds and it acts like a click?

Regardless of technicalities, I think they could've done wonders with it. I mean Kinect appeals to kids right? Lots of Point and click games had wacky humor? It just seems like Bread and butter to me?
