I sort of agree.
Your opinion lies very in line with Yahtzee's, that gamers aren't the most active folk and that actions should be quick and easy, we should be able to do things with the flick of a button. While this makes sense in a way, I've always thought the epitome of gaming would come as a sort of Matrix universe, where things feel totally real but they most definitely are not. Complete immersion.
Motion controls try to step into this area, but they hit off the mark. They're only mockeries of actual movements and actions after all, "controls".
I have no idea if the sort of technology will ever come to video games, but I sure hope it does within my lifetime.
