I was hoping for the Escapist forum users opinion on which concert I should go to.

The story is both muse and U2 are doing a concert in Perth on the 19th of December. One friend brought me a muse ticket when he was getting one because he knew I liked muse. Another friend got me a U2 ticket for the same reason. Both awesome friends and bands. Anyway can't go to both. What should I do?

What kind of show does each band put on? Information like that would help me decide.

I've been to a Muse show before, and I'm going to the Muse show in Brisbane in december. Go Muse, they put on a great show. Unless you're epileptic.

I was going to see them this Friday 10th at Wembley Stadium (Muse) but unfortunatly the site we bought the tickets from was probably a scam site... :(

U2 are great and all, but I've been to 5 Muse concerts and all of them were amazing. So go with Muse.

Never been to a U2 concert, however I'd imagine it would be amazing.
Although, I have been to a Muse concert twice and it has been one of the best experiences in my life/
Go Muse.

I'm not epileptic (thanks for warning me anyway). I would imagine both bands would have lots of flashing lights.

Hearing a lot of for muse. Anyone pro U2? would like some reasons for U2.

Fucking MUSE! This shouldn't even be a question - Muse are the single greatest live band I've ever seen, whereas U2 are just a bunch of obnoxious old men who have released way too much music, only a fraction of which is actually worth listening to.

I haven't seen U2, however I have seen Muse on three different occasions and all I can say is that my mind was blown each and every time. If you are in to their music then I can't recommend them enough. It's a very intense experience to say the least but by the end of it you are so ecstatic that you feel like you could lift of the ground at any moment. Yeah, I am a huge Muse fan as you can probably tell, but their shows really are that damn good!

U2 are great live plenty of crowd interaction and a damn good show, they do however like to stop and do some 'make poverty history' and the like speeches about how we should all give our money and support these causes. That may put you off, didnt bother me too much but I went to see U2 play not hear Bono preach, may want to miss them if that would get to you.

Not seen muse live but heard a lot of good (and 1 bad report from a festival where they had no crowd interaction, came on did their stuff and left so friend was peeved).

I'd advise U2 as not sure how much linger they will be touring and playing at their current level, and I think Muse will keep touring for much longer
