Poll: Music Test (For an assignment)

Please choose one for the poll and then tell me what Genre's of music do you like, please specify if you really like one genre as opposed to liking only a few on another genre.I want to see how diverse peoples taste's in music are and if most people have a link between genres or if most people like lots of songs from various genres.
(For my IST assignment we were given the topic of music and have to write about 2 things, this is going to be my second thing).

Well I like Two Steps From Hell. I just dont know what kind of music it is. Alot of people i'm friends with say it's gay music for fags (I should try and hang around some more mature people) but I think music is like art because there is no right or wrong answer.

Both depending on my mood, or what the situation calls for. I'm not going to put on Leonard Cohen whilst getting ready for a night out, for example, no matter how much I like his music.

Music isn't quite so simple that it falls under 'Upbeat/Fast' and 'Emotional/Slow'. Much music that is Upbeat and Fast is also Emotional. I don't like loud music, the dissonance of most rock music, or lyrics. I do like Orchestral Music, as well as chamber music, jazz, etc.

Personally, music that is 'Upbeat and Emotional but not Loud or too fast' would probably take first for me. So... whatever.

Both, very much both. I like to have a good mix of fast and slow songs, and a few playlists arranged to reflect certain moods.

Oh, and and someone else pointed out, fast and slow music are not inherently upbeat or emotional. I've heard fast songs that are emotional, and slow songs that are upbeat.

I like fast emotional music. Anti-Flag got a lot of fast music, but they are rarely upbeat. Poll flawed, your assignment will fail.

I really like fast upbeat music but I like both types. Most of my music is fast and upbeat so it's safe to assume that I like those types of songs more.

I listen to everything except classical and techno stuff. I can enjoy both fast and slow, but I prefer the latter.

My favorite artists are Evanesence, P!nk, and Paramore... who pretty well cover that gambit, so Both I guess.

My favourite genres are punk, metal and the 'core' genres (hardcore, metalcore, deathcore).
My favourite 'fast music' band is Every Time I Die.
My favourite 'slow music' band is Bon Iver.

Slow emotional music fo' sho'. I listen to faster music normally, since I do so while I do exercise (I can do it with slow music, but it makes me want to stop and contemplate), but always prefer emotional music. Though all the music I listen to are OSTs, that probably has a significant impact.

Not that weird, I'm the same way. They actually have more in common than one would think, especially when you start dealing with opera. They're incredibly emotional and raw styles of music that are performed best when you figure out its meaning to you personally.
