I would argue quite the opposite. If any band needs to exist, it's this one. Nothing gives you a bigger clue pertaining to a person's intellectual inadequacies than finding out that they like BrokeNCYDE. Nothing.Cowabungaa said:
How about we just randomly pick one person in the world and ask him/her what they like and get rid of everything else. All rap 'music'. I fail to see how a beat and some dude doing [shitty] poetry is music. Calling rap music is like calling that fake wrestling on TV a sport...
I picked the crappy love ballads. They're just so damn annoying. At least the sexually inappropriate bubble gum pop usually has hot chicks doing the inappropriate dancing.
Rap and Hip Hop, since they are not music at all they are poetry.
Why?
They do not fill the requirements of the theory of music.
1. Rythm (Check)
2. Theme (½ Check)
3. Melody
4. Constructive base.
And I see it as waste of time money and many times talent, I have seen talented musicians around me drop the instrument they originally played and turned to rave their feelings to rap/hip hop.
(yeah I know there are talented rappers/hoppers that do other things, that is beside my point)

I am a huge metalhead, and have an extensive collection of all different sorts of metal, but the one I despise the most is the incredibly mainstream, 'American' ones (Using that in a broad sense), where they play the guitar and scream a little bit, but the lyrics are all about love and girls, much like pop music. Also they usually have a normally sung chorus by some teen with a whiny voice.
But soon as there's no apparent option for that, I pick rap... stupid talking people...
