simple qestion.found out europe is blaming muslims for te increase in raping and that sharia law is infecting the us and europe.along with this notion that the muslims are trying to take over the world (and establish a religous dictatorship)
nott really the minoritys in the us do the same thing.look at LAVault101 said:no..I dont think the whole muslim thing is as bad as people make out, and its just baed in fear and ignorance since 9/11
however another issue (in Australia) which I sort of understand is the dislike of "multicultralism" as in ethnic groups sectioning themselfs off from the rest of Australian society, I can see where it breeds an "us vs them" mentality
mabye thats just certain peoples attitudes rubbing off on me then....honestly I dont know "multicultralism" is somthing of a big thing in Australiaredeemer09 said:nott really the minoritys in the us do the same thing.look at LAVault101 said:no..I dont think the whole muslim thing is as bad as people make out, and its just baed in fear and ignorance since 9/11

sorry im learning englishninja51 said:Some better grammer would be nice, but yes, any time we are at war with someone or somthing, naturaly people are led to believe in sorts that the enemy is a vile thing to the core. Japanese, Germans, British, Africans, Pacific Islanders, whenever people are at war (or making war) with somthing, the populous starts to take that racist ignorant stance, usually led on by the government or parts of the media.
Unfortunatly its led to a big resurgence in white supremacists in America. The Tea Party is a thing... Ugh... Breaks my heart everytime I think about that.
oh beleive me this is very common in multicultured countrys.in one american schools i visited they had a asian corner and these asians would refuse to date other races a.when one did, they were kicked out of the area.Scoffy89 said:Europe is blaming Muslims for the increase in rape? I would agree that there are quite a few people out there with the whole mentality that all muslims are horrible people and that quite a few may be afraid of muslims in general but I wouldn't say that this whole "muslim scare" affects the majority of people.
Speaking of the "us vs them" mentality, that exists in England too. A friend of mine, living there, noticed that it seems to be that the pakistanis will only be in the company of pakistanis and same goes for the indians, sudanis even the white people. I have never really understood this though I can only assume that it's because of similar cultural background and people feel more comfortable around people who would have have the same background as them, especially in a foreign country.
Though I must say that I live in Ireland and I have never experienced this. Well among the younger generation anyways. Everyone seems to hang around with everyone else. Though this would be in smaller towns. Bigger cities such as Dublin may be different.

May I ask where you got that from? I'm Muslim Pakistani and living in England in a very very very asian area (rather not say name for privacy reasons), but I have never met anyone called abdul.Jakub324 said:It annoys me that people seem to think every Muslim is a terrorist, seriously, one guy called the Police because he saw an Egyptian guy and three other Muslims go into a house together, but I do think Islam is beginning to dominate the West. Did you know Abdul is one of the most popular names on Britain?
