Eh dont bother quoteing my stuff, im not gonna read it, hehNinja_X said:Oh shut up.Haseo21 said:HEY! dont fuck witht the Army, you wouldnt survive a day in boot camp, you have no idea what these guys have to do, and I have friends in the Army, they are pissed all the time. Ive seen this before, I know peoples behavior, judging on the emphasis of his tone he probably isnt pissed at yopu, he just got stuck with night watch thats all.
I have friends in the Navy, Marines, and Army, they all act like that when their commanding officer gives them a job.
So let it go k, =)
I grew up on Navy bases and have been around soldiers most of my life, this kind of behavior is inexcusable.
You say you knew allot of people who acted like this? You knew allot of pricks then. It doesn't fly, trust me.
Umm... I know this isn't meant to be as offensive as it is, but I personally find this to be unnecessarily hateful. I'm not going to say "you wouldn't last a day in bootcamp" or anything like that, because I don't know you. But being in the army isn't very easy and isn't very rewarding either, a lot of soldiers get through things like deployments to Iraq on the idea that the people back home appreciate the work they're doing and the wars they're fighting. With me on the verge of my first deployment, it's sad to hear people who seem to have no appreciation for the military. No it doesn't make us better than other people, but please don't take that attitude toward us.SultanP said:Being in the army doesn't count for shit. I'm sick of people getting special treatment for it, and thinking it makes them better than everyone else.
It's the same attitude that I have towards anyone else using their occupation in an argument that is in no way related to it. Like a marine biologist saying that that counts for anything in a discussion on politics or something. I appreciate what the military is doing like I appreciate plumbers, or dentists. But I'm not going to give anyone extra points for it. I was going to sign up, but I find it hard to sleep if I'm sharing my room with another person, let alone nine other people, as I would be doing if I signed up. I have nothing against the military as such, but I can't stand it when people pull the military card.King of Cats said:Umm... You sir, are made of win. My uncle is in the Army and he isn't as obnoxious as the prick you're describing. There's only one use for his type in the army: cannon fodder.Mrsnugglesworth said:(This argument is over Xbox Live and with some guy I don't know)
So I was talking with my friends about how they liked ODST (Stayed up all night/skipped school just to play it) and they were like "Its awesome" and such. So then I asked the question "How's the story?" and they said "Great!".
But the real "Argument" started when I said
"I saw a review of it online and all it said was that the story just holds the game together."
So then the army dude gets PISSED! Like seriously angry. He yells
"So what, you gonna believe some stupid fucking gaming site? This story is fucking GREAT!"
I just chip in
"I dunno, Bungie isn't known for great stories. Look at almost any other gaming company for that"
So he gets even angrier (Please note, I have no idea he's in the army at this point)
"FUCK YOU! You don't know SHIT about gaming and is probably a twelve year old who's balls haven't dropped!"
So naturally I went for his maturity.
"Wow, cussing and jokes about my age, great, but I'm fifteen and probably more mature then your stupid fanboy ass."
"Ahahaha! Just talk to my commanding officer *****! Thats right. THE FUCKING ARMY!"
"Dude, your commanding officer would be fucking ASHAMED of you for boasting about being in the army in an argument about videogames."
So I ask of you after this long post, was I right to say this?
