First off, I like to apologize if my view is beating the bush, or has been posted before, or if it may cause you any distress.

by young people, I mean kids from 13 and younger. Though my knowledge is limited to just my 17 years of living, I like to post this and the poll to see what you think. Basically, we are all different. We each mature differently, so as how we grow up depends on our parents and our environment. So to tag some thing as must be to be norm is wrong, seeing as we are all different. Anyway the point I like to make is the guidance rating on games should and always be just guidance. Nothing should ever be changed. Like warning a man not to jump of a bridge. the have it comdened for taking his life and have it signed off and then destroy cause the man chose to die(What?).Heh, a curse for being a human, eh? Anyway, the point of the poll is just a bit of fun.
Punctuation. You should try some.

Like alot of people in here said I also believe it depends on the person. I also think it depends on the game too. I think most 14 year olds can handle halo, but I don't think that games like Condemned, Manhunt, and Dead Space are suitable for someone under the mature age restriction. Hell games like Manhunt I think are innapropriate for any age really, with a game like that if you were mature enough to "handle it" you would probably be mature enough to have no interest in playing the game.

While I did vote for "when your parents feel you are ready for them", that doesn't mean that a 10 year-old is by any means ready for say... Far Cry 2 or GTA4. What I mean is that ideally, it should be when responsible parents (who actually know their kids and know something about the game in question) think their children are ready. Otherwise, 18+.
