Hello I just joined the the escapist website and thought this would be great way to start posting so this is about verdict on two most known open world 3-rd person shooters or sand box but the genre is normaly refered to "momma it be like one of thoose GTA games but on mars"If you don't really know what i was reffering to get the f**k out of my topic.((The new red faction))
GTA IV
So the amount of hype surronding GTA IV was emmence you would hear or see the game everywhere and was after a while annoying or if you were like any other mindless simpleton brought the hollo promises of it. When it was realeased everyone got or at least tried to.
It was not a bad or terrible game it was just that lacked what other GTA games had like just the over the top insanity they all shared, that was fun so I was hoping for it to be like espacilly online but that was not the case. The single player became the same teidous mission over and over again but some would argue what about saints row that was pretty much the same. I would say no and even if they were theres enough activities and diversion to keep you ocupied or just make popular character everyone knows or just making blinged out ride it was fun.
So GTA IV not terrible but not the perfect game like it was said to be.
SAINT ROW 2
Now i prefer this game because it captured what games like this should..........F**king up everything up in stylish and for filling way and like I said it was fun with story and if you ever got bored of the story missions then you can just go off and play some of extra activities or diversions or find some over time consuming thing. Which you probly will and how could anyone forget the epic customization. Cars, you, cribs,your gang everything it was excellent and just superb I had never seen so much choice outside of an MMO or table top game it was fantastic.
The bad thing about saints row 2 the online was not as good as the first why get rid of protect the pimp seriously.
Now so the final verdict to me it depends do you want gritty realistic game, GTA IV .
If you want over the top mayhem and funny moments Saints row 2 is where it is at.
Me its saints row.
