A gryphon.

Eagles - Patriotic, apex predator of the skies, badass.
Lions- Proud, apex predator of the lands, badass.
Gryphon- Eagle + Lion.
You both know that male Gryphons didn't have wings, right?
I read that in a book on mythical creatures I read once. Unfortunately I can't provide links to paperback books though.

OT: I'd probably go for the Dragon.
You're thinking of keythongs. They aren't gryphons.

Damn, I was ninja'd at around 1pm it seems.

However I would like to be a Gryphon, since they are my favorite mythological creature and all.

Have to go with Thor, and I am justified by him not being human, thus a mythological creature. :p
You go with him if you want to. You're old enough to make up your own mind. Just don't expect him to ever call and ffs make SURE he wears a condom. Even HE doesn't know where he's been but you don't really want to be a permanent part of that family tree, do you?

I'd like to be a titan from Greek Mythology.
No one would be able to withstand my wrath.
Except Zeus. Dibs on being Zeus.
Zeus isn't a titan, he's a god. Gods are the sons/daughters of titans.

Anyway, I think I'd want to be an frost giant. Those guys are scary.

He's saying that no-one EXCEPT Zeus could withstand the wrath of the titans. But I applaud Cuddley Razor for being original as the first person to join up with the titans. "And so Cuddley Razor cast himself from the highest cliff in all of greece"

I was promised a poll. I see no such thing!

OT: Probably a dragon. I mean, seriously? No one messes with a dragon.
Pfft, are you kidding? One of my friends in a ShadowRun game got snatched by a dragon, managed to wrap the claw holding her with several pounds of C4, use a fist full of tranq darts to numb it's foot enough for it to let her go before she detonated them.

She is now, and forever will be known as the Dragon Slayer.

Silly Renraku dragon, botching it's roll, while the DragonSlayer maxed hers...

OT:
Probably just a generic shape shifter.
You talking about the Shadowrun RPG?
Pen and Paper, not that FPS travesty (or the NES version)
Yeah. I meant the PnP. Nothing really wrong with the game, it was just lacking in a story. It was balanced well, though.

I am not thinking of keythongs, since I've never heard of keythongs before. According to this book I read which was entitled "Mythological Creatures." It it under Gryphons, well the book spelled it 'Griffins', but that's irrelevant, it said that the males did not have wings and instead had large spikes jutting out of their sides instead. I can only assume that the author was referring to the most common variation of gryphons common to most legends of them.

Never heard of that legend. Guess that makes it fair seeing as you've never heard of keythongs... But spikes are badass, too.

It was a game where story was in the hands of the GM, the setting was great though.

I've been digging through my place trying to find that book, I know I still have it somewhere, but I've moved a couple times since I've last seen it and it's buried somewhere where I can't find it. But as you said, the spikes are badass too.

Despite the recent influx of vampire movies thanks to Twilight, I've always been a vampire fan. Thus, I think a vampire would be my choice!

The good kind, the kind who have lots of orgies.

[rant]Aaaahhhhh! Vamps DON'T FUCK! What is wrong with you people? Their entire place in the folklore is a caution against just how badly things can go WRONG when you give in to the beautiful stranger.[/rant]

Ok. Ok. I'm calm. With the abundance of vampire literature they have been presented myriad ways, and more than one viewpoint can be tolerated. [sup]barely[/sup]

Oh. I forgot to answer the question. Ghost.

I would be one of the unspeaking ones who never tell you why they're there, they just bump and clank in the night until you run into the answer on your own.
